Boots Grabbit Bargains Thread part 10 - post your finds here

Nantwich Boots has two stands of reduced items on Saturday and Crewe today had three stands next to the machines in the chemists bit and two stands across the road in the beauty section plus some reduced perfume on the counter - only one machine working though. Nothing earth shatteringly reduced though.

Spotted some Botanics wash reduced to £1.24 so I went to the till with my 100 points voucher from the magazine, held my breath nearly got there, two girls serving and then just seconds before I got to the till, up popped the till ogre who didnt even bother to scan the 100 points voucher saying "oh no you cant have two offers, its already reduced!

As we all know this is rubbish so I am writing to Boots this afternoon - again.Really annoying becuase it was actually something I can use. There was more reduced Botanics across the road but I was too fed up to even try my voucher there.

PS Please can someone tell me if the buy one get one free link save offer is still on? I couldnt see anything on the shelves but I picked up some antiseptic gel in a green cardboard tube and asked her to try it but this didnt have the offer on. Mind you, even if the offer was on and I had got the right one the till ogre would still have whined about my voucher from the machine.

Wee... back on the Boots thread after me hols...! Bring on the bargains!! I managed a quick grab of a few "essentials" (about 5 hair dyes, some nets of choccies and some spray on sun tan lotion) before hand, but nothing exciting.

Will have to read back a few pages and catch up... no doubt that'll loose me for 3 days! lol

had to spend points today as have no funds untill pay day thursaday- got nail varnish remover and cotton pads then found the redcued section .They are adding better offers now and are reducing some things to acceptable sale prices - i found natural collection eyeshadows reduced to 42p so got 10 in most of the colors that were left- a couple for me and the rest will be combined with other natural collection bargains i have stashed under my bed for my sisters friends gifts.

Two bottles of Gillette After Shave Balm for 20p a go and a big can of anti flea spray for 10p were my bargains in the Darlington branch today. They seem to be adding new stuff all the time.

went in "for a look" (as you do ), came out with a kids pink bag with soap and small bubble bath (£1), a nodding bratz cat (£1.50) and a babyliss bath spa (£10). Used some of my many points... ahhh... feels weird still using them

On the hunt for good rotary shavers for the OH, sure there was loads more in the sale before i went on hols but wasn't bothered then *slaps forehead*

i am so jealous............... nothing in my local, nothing at all. a few reduced toys, but still expensive if you ask me. cheapest memory card is £24.99 and no offers at all from acm. i'm fed up...

Keep checking every now and again babybe, when i first went into boots when the sale started it looked brilliant, then came back off hols and it was rubbish.... been in about 5 boots in the past week, and they generally had lots of rubbish, but then today (and i've been in that store 3 times in past week as it's near work for lunches) it had the spa thing which i scooped from the shelf just in time before some other woman hovered for it. They might move stock around the place a bit, most of the sale stuff i dont think i've seen in store at all...

Does anyone know if the GWP will scan through if paying for your No 7 purchases with points? Thanks!

GWP should scan through no probs, as they scan all the stuff, GWP included, before you're given the total and asked for payment - you don't need to mention you're paying with points until everything's been scanned and bagged if you don't want to!

does anyone know if the quality of photos at there digital machines is good?

is it me or are the sales assistants snotty whenever you do get a bargain?
