Just wanted to thank the original poster who told us about the half price toys. I went in for a packet of batteries and came out with all of my friends childrens presents bought for under £80! :j
I also used 8 seperate transactions so i could use the 75points vouchers which showed up as 150. Result: everyone gets nicer christmas presents, boots shifts old stock and my points total is now big enough again for me to treat myself to some chanel perfume!:D

;) No probs, i went back again and they had a fair bit of different toys in my shop even though i asked but i resisted... i think the poor SA who served me looked horrified when she noticed me again but i restrained and didnt buy anymore, lol.

Has anyone tried the 150 pts for £20 - are they going through normally or is there a glitch on these at all like the 75 ones?

The bottles originally had clearance labels of £5.49 and then overstickerd with £10.

Wonder if boots still would have honoured the buy 1 get 1 free on the sun tan lotion too??

I have always been led to believe thats its illegal to charge the higher price if 2 prices are shown for a product. Going back to my old retail working days there!

    Thanks

It is against trading standards, but as I said most clearance items have to be manually overridden to the new price with the clearance barcode. Sometimes when a cstomer has a large basket and you want to get it all quickly scanned for them it is easy to miss the clearance sticker and sell them for full price. Just point out the mistake to the SA and all will change the price without a problem.

They do honour it, even on clearance items, although only certain ambre solaire are on BOGOF. Soltan is advertised as ALL BOGOF although some kids creams as only going through as save, make sure you check this as you might get charged for both if the SA doesn't notice and manually override it for you.
  • lots of memory card (clearance section), boots own 128mb with 30 free prints, £1.50 each

only good if you have the 500pts voucher; and the voucher expires tomorrow 31st July..

    grabbed 4 today, paid £6.00, received 2000pts :j:j:j

Managed to get to Boots in Princess Street yesterday. Loads of reduced stuff but nothing worth while really.

Did manage to get a lynx gift set with spray and shower gel for 49p and make your own magnets for £4.00 but went thrugh the til at £2. Oh and then just walking around came across a Sanctuary foot kit down to 50p. Downstairs at the No 7 counter they had a set of the 5 lipgloss reduced from £15 to £2 asked if they had anymore and she pulled one out from behind the counter, great for seperating for christmas.

They had lots of Sally Hansen nail varnish stuff reduced to 3.90  not much of a reduction compared to the ones mentioned the other day.

Treated myself to a Urban Decay Heavy Metal eyeliner set for £22 and another bottle of perfume.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Does anyone know when the current offers finish? i.e. BOGOFs and multibuys on the Toni & Guy and Charles Worthington stuff? I am hoping some items go back in stock but don't want to miss the deals. TIA :)
  • Sorry - I don't know the name of this Boots but my SIL visited this w/e. She told me (yesterday) that there are literally LOADS of bargains to be had there.
If i remember right these include......
Clearance cameras (the £40 lot plus others for less( some for £10:eek: )),
HUGE racks of makeup for £1,
Loads of baby bargains (i.e. pack of 6 wide neck bottles on clearance for £5 but also BOGOF)
Items on normal shelves (Macleans toothpaste was one) but stickered for clearance - so not on a special shelf, just the normal ones.
Mega Bargain shelves by the tills.

Hope this helps Bristol or nearby Bootsers - handy if you are visiting IKEA too!

(Just wish I could go - not even I can justify going THAT far :rotfl: )

Good luck and post back if you have any success;)

    Lincoln today:

A sign saying all 'Home Gifts' are half price - candles, photo frames etc.

Some toys reduced, many not. I got Royal Ballet posable (sp?) dolls for £3.25, and silly stocking fillers eg ducks that change colour in hot water for 75p. There are 3 or 4 Baby Annabells for the real bargain price of £9.99.

Didn't have time to look at make-up etc, so will have to go back. Nothing worth having from AC machine.

Edited to ask whether there are bargains in the big Boots in Victoria Centre, Nottingham.
