Today in boots I noticed a sign above one of the summer sale shelves that read "Summer Clearance - half marked sticker price". The shelf was Filled with various electrical items of utter gorgeousness - curlers, straighteners, shavers, epilators (ouch!) etc etc.

Found myself returning home with a Mark hill ceramic straightener set stickered at £10 - mine for £5 :T , and a Nicky Clarke set of heated rollers stickered at £10 - mine for £5 :T .

Worth looking out for in amongst a lot of the other sale stuff which is not so bargainous IMHO!

Oh and overheard the SA offering the lady infront £5 off one of the £40 cameras (the Sony Cybershot one) as it was the last one and 'off the display' (it had been in a locked cabinet!!!) :T Worth asking for if you find a £40 camera and its the last one!

    HTHS ;)

I went to boots today and our local store had quite a good selection of shavers, and electrical items...only wish i needed more for xmas pressies etc.

    I got:

Philips shaver for me at £5
    Oral b electric toothbrushes x 2, £3
    Rapid white pen, £2.15
    2 x bogof albums, total £4.00 plus 100pts.
    Bodyform, 99p

My album points code from the ACM didnt go through but the manager came over and put it through for me so i got the points and album.

They also had the digi cameras in at £40 and one left in the kodak so a bargain if it goes through at £35.

Visited Bridgend on Saturday: SA was friendly and OFFERED to try my double points coupon as well as the 150 pts extra with £20 shop... they both went through!!!
I know some people will think "so?", but in our main branch they insist the tills 'only' accept one or other not both - and then act like they are doing you a favour.
    What a difference!

    Happy shopping :T :T :T :T :T

Got to Boots this morning. Advantage card machines not working so not able to add my points!! I was told to call Advantage helpline. I did this and after a lot of arguing the lady said to find manager and get him to call her. This he did and eventually he added my £170.00 worth of points manually. Spent £49.00 on holiday bits and plenty left for later.

Still no sign of the latest magazine in my local store. Are they available everywhere on the Mainland yet?

No idea. I split one order into two sections, place them within 2 mins of each other - they arrived three days apart after being dispatched at the same time. They do take a while to get here once they've been dispatched too.

they also sent me one more atkins chocolate bar than I ordered *is searching for a smiley that vomits*

I had another beach gorgoeus voucher in the ACM today - but nothing that caught my eye today. I'm off on holiday for the next week though so can go where I please, are there any Reading bootsers amongst us? - is it worth a trek to the oracle?

OOOOh hello Ben  Long time no see - how's the Olympics going?
    Hello

Had to drop out as i had personal stresses

Notice there's a new one going at the moment

But think i'll do my own personal challenge to get 100% of my Christmas funded before Christmas

If i can save 5% a week of what i think i will need and use this thread and the Tesco type thread i should be all set in 20 weeks and not have any nasty bills dropping through my door in January
