Could you share with us the "buyer"'s eBay username?

I know what it should be; I_am_a_Scumbag

Bl88dy awful. I would have well gone ballistic with ebay over this and yes, the Police should be informed about this criminal, especially as there is photographic and video evidence.

    Police won't do anything.

He may not be able to claim off the original courier either. Usually they want proof such as the original packaging used to send the item, photographs and the details of the person who received the parcel who they normally contact and I can't see him being helpful.

If it was me I would go down the small claims route, even if I didn't get my monies I would happily pay the £50 quid just to screw his/her credit rating. But that's just me!

But he has the item showing smashed up he has the packaging, he has the buyers address,,,, make a claim through the courier company. Don't lose no more money on this item ... And learn don't sell expensive items on eBay only by cash on collection,,, to many scammers out to scam sellers
Even if it was the buyer who has damaged the parcel, eBay will not care, put a claim in with the courier before it's to late, at least you will be reimbursed for the money and ps4

I was going to ask if the courier had been contacted again. The assumption is (and probably correctly) that the buyer is at fault. It could possibly be the courier who tampered/damaged it and then lied.

Who is the courier and what else have they said?
Have you put in a claim with them?

Unless the buyer has been reported to Ebay for doing this on more than one occasion I can't see how Ebay could be expected to find in any way but for the buyer. No amount of pictures or video footage of the item in a nice clean box in perfect condition can alter the fact that it is now damaged As far as Ebay are concerned that damage could still have been done by the buyer or the courier or someone else before the buyer received it.

Is it the original packaging that he sent it in or is it new packaging used by the buyer to return it? I can't see the courier of the seller entertaining a claim where the packaging has a label on it for a different courier. As the item has been received back with even more damage than that originally stated I don't see the sellers courier paying out for a console that had slight damage which in turn got smashed to bits when returning it. (unless the same courier company was used in both cases)

Either way hope you get it sorted.
