ebay buyer claims goods damaged

If it was someone genuine I wouldn't reference that point no, however the lies about the courier and absence of any damage the packaging combined with reluctance to return it suggest I'm not dealing with a genuine person.

Just an update the buyer has requested a refund direct to his bank account instead of through paypal, perfectly above board .....

Ok so playstation is due to be delivers tomorrow after he finally agreed to return it, I have heard of people sending back envelopes and boxes with nothing in etc just so ebay see a track able item was sent back! Any tips on what to do when courier arrived ? Do I film the receipt and opening of it maybe?

Do the serial numbers match?

If the playstation that has been returned IS yours, AND the buyer has opened a case, you can appeal to ebay that the playstation was returned not in the state that it was sent.

If the payment was made via Paypal, make sure you refund via the original transaction. DO NOT REFUND VIA A BANK TRANSFER.

the amount of stories on here like this make me want to stay well clear of ebay.. as a seller you seem to be guilty and punished before you even start!

Does the damage in the pic they sent you match the current damage?
I guess the only hope is that you can find the serial number and speak to a real person at Ebay before they refund the buyer.

It always sounds bad on here because you usually only hear about peoples problems.
Thousands of sellers complete millions of transactions with no problems.

agree this is the reality..

but you never hear anyone say oh ebay found in my favour as a seller.. its just automatically for the buyer
