Hi my daughter said the same that she thought the second paper was harder than the first. She mentioned one question if it takes I day to read 15 pages how many days would a 1000 pages take.
She looked quite pale when she came out, poor wee soul. Just hope next weeks is easier for them.0 -
Daughter thought it was a bit harder but seemed ok about it. Hasn't really mentioned about the questions so I haven't mentioned them to her, will maybe bring it up later this evening. If she tells me anything will you guys know. Enjoy the rest of the weekend x0

Same as everyone here, daughter thought harder than the first, but was able to complete and seems ok about it (less drained than last week). Only one question, possibly half remembered, about which of some fractions was the largest in percentage terms. DD mentioned 19/36, so one of the fractions was probably either 18/36 or 19/38, or else the worlds most awful typo for a percentage question
maybe right though, if 19/36 being compared with 35/72 for example?
One more week to go.0 -
Hi everyone, my daughter said the exact same, that she found this paper much harder than the first. She seems quite down about it so going to go to the cinema this afternoon to try and forget about it. Some of her classmates found this paper easier than the last one which I think annoyed her. She mentioned a question about a person catches 5 fish one week and then 4 fish every week after that, how many fish has he caught by week 5? She also mentioned the first question being what is 21 out of 28 in %. She put 10%??? Which when she was telling me realised this was wrong and should have been 75%. Just hope this was the only silly mistake she made. Roll on the 29th!!!0

The only one that my sister mentioned was the question that she left out, it's was an area question and she thinks it gave the size/measurement of 3 sides but you had to work out the size of 3 other sides to be able to work out the answer... She can usually do this without any problems.
I booked disney on ice for tomorrow as a distraction... If she's still a bit down over it during the week I'll maybe mention to her about 1 paper being harder and that the next one will be fine to stop her worrying too much.:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0 -

Hi workingmumof2. It's only one question, and one week to go, and then it's done. Nothing to be disheartened about. I'm wary about running the questions past my daughter in case she gets down - but 'mea culpa' I can't help myself sometimes. I ran that one past her, and she said she had answered 3/4. I asked what about percentage and she said yes, it was 75%. Not going to ask any more questions, I'm putting even *more* pressure on her just for my own peace of mind rather than hers, but the intention was to make her feel good after thinking a few were right.0 -
Yeah your right Sca11ion, what's done is done, no point stressing over mistakes now. We decided to go to an indoor play place and daughter is running about without a care in the world. Think they are much more resilient than us parents lol0

100% workingmumof2. They are more resilient than we are. Nice plan with the indoor play place - that's all we can do as parents, make them feel good and relaxed beforehand (somebody said lavender bath, we didn't use that but thanks), and make them feel fine afterwards.0 -
