Those supporting the use of a PPC could you explain how Parkingeye stop car park abuse?0

I somewhat object to having to maintain my locks, burglar alarm and pay the extra premium on my house insurance because some scum might break in ...... I still do though.
I don't think the average motorist that parks simply because there isn't a barrier is automatically in the same league as "scum" that you buy door locks to keep out. There are a load of reasons why they may have parked there, without needing to be called scum.0 -

I wasn't calling parkers scum - I was pointing out how ridiculous the posters argument was that landowners shouldn't have to secure their land if they don't want people using it against the landowners wishes."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
I'm guessing you've never owned or been the leaseholder of a bit of land you've been unable to use or staff use for parking do due arrogant shoppers/motorists who ignore signage and show disrespect for other peoples land.
The usual responses being get barriers - which I fail to see why somebody should have to pay out money for installation and maintenance off.
Bring on the rights for land owners.
The judge isn't an advocate for the consumer, despite some thinking they should be.
Most (but not all ofcourse) tickets are the result of arrogance or ignorance.
I'd welcome a proper, regulated industry to combat this.
What a completely stupid post, when I first started in the service industry I've been in the last 3 decades, I was told the customer is king/queen, they are the ones who ensure businesses exist! Without them there would be no shop!
As for the question of who should manage land, especially retail units and large car parks, well as there no parking management companies, it should go to the people who are the landowner or leaseholder! Expecting to get something for nothing is the most arrogant way to run things!
There is always someone having to pay for a supposedly free service, and that is the customers of the retailers, the reality is that whilst abuse does happen, it's minute number of times, these vermin parking companies prey on customers and don't give a damn for the people they supposed to help.
Just ask Somerfield, Coop or B&Q, or wickes about this, they have all had huge problems with these companies. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

You said you lock your doors to keep the scum and, and you've just said it again about keeping motorists off land by having to lock them out, which is a bit close to scum again. There are normally legitimate reasons why they need to park there.0 -

Customer-facing organisations looking after their customers (although perhaps too late for Somerfield). Compare and contrast with the Aldis and The Ranges of retail world. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I'm really not sure what you're reading but you seem to have confused me with someone that supports PPCs."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Maybe the door lock/scum issue is confusing us all, I think we agree in principal, it would be a shame to get this thread off track.0
