I never bother buying a lottery ticket, so I doubt if I have to pay to enter ITV competitions, I will bother with that either. I will spend more time entering other smaller competitions.0

I think you can send as many entries as you like (which fits with unlimited paid entries) but each must be on its own postcard - If you put more than one entry on each card/sealed envelope only one will count.
This was how I read the terms as well...
Would they legally be allowed to limit the 'free' entries (i.e. postal) and not limit the paid entries?
I agree with you, incidentally, about the dangers of making the paid route unlimited entry: those of us that gamble could easily be 'sucked in' to spending more than we should on entering, especially given the immediacy of a phone (or free online) entry over a postcard that you're never quite sure arrived etc.
I'm guessing that paid-to-enter competitions don't include info on GamCare / Gambling Aware and the like in the same way that bingo / poker sites [have to?] do.0 -
Given that someone won a fabulous amount and was informed via email, because his / her phone number wasn't active, I'm not sure they even check the validity of the phone numbers that are given
I hadn't even thought of that.
***NOT*** that I am casting any aspersions whatsoever on the winner who was emailed, or suggesting that used an invalid number or anything, BUT what would be to stop anyone from entering 1000s of times using different made up numbers, then sitting back and waiting for ITV to email them when they didn't get through on said made up number??
I could enter 6 times each on any combination of digits couldn't I, and just put my email address on each0 -
you could but that would be one laborious process - you'll be typing in numbers all day and enter one comp0

Random number generator, anyone? :rotfl:0
