    Afternoon all :)

Didn't pick up a Sun (whoops) so asked Hubby to see if there is one on his way home but don't hold out much hope! Spent £16.37 today, want to spend as little as possible for rest of week to come in under weekly budget. Planned NSD for tomorrow as I have to go in the opposite directions of the shops and don't want to do that much walking! Got stuff in for lunch and tea, will need to go out on Saturday though.

That Morrison voucher sounds good, I have a "local" by me, usually these vouchers aren't valid the local stores, is this one the case too?

If you are trying to make up your spends to use a voucher, definitely go for stocking up on something you use with no sell-by date. I did this for a while and I found that each time Sainsburys gave me a voucher they nudged the minimum spend up.

Now I mostly shop in Lidl, the money off vouchers have dramatically dropped in the minimum spend needed. I still rarely use them, even a £20 shop is a stretch for me in Sainsburys these days.

A small shop today of £16.99 cash but would have been £21.99 if I hadn't got the Sun today! Total spend is now £101.19/£250, so feeling happy with that as only another couple of weeks until pay day.

Evening all :) just updated my sig to reflect this months spendage thus far. 8 days into this months cash and I'm practically half way through it already! It's all good though, only need top ups for the next 11 or so days. We're trying to use up everything in the freezer as i want to do a big farmfoods shop with next months budget.

I've decided that I'm going to have a separate budget for household and toiletries and this includes pet supplies too (we have a cat and a rabbit) this budget is £30 and I've gone over it by 76p already but I don't need anything else. I will get better - promise haha!

Hope everyone is doing ok :)

Mozzakate, I also have a separate 'budget' for household, toiletries and pets. I don't have any influence over these things, they're bought when they're needed/on offer, and that's that. Food, however, is an area where I need to try hard to keep to a budget, as it would be possible for me to spend £100s a month, which I just don't have.

Went to morries to spend one of my lovely vouchers today. Will go again tom and sat. Let's hope their stuff keeps as well as the aldee stuff!

Will update sig at some point...
