Almost a NSD but had to pay £3 parking as I wasn't early enough to work to get a free one. I plan to cycle in the morning to compensate.

Low spends for me so far, £4.93 on herbs, milk etc all necessary, dinner tonight was another Jack recipe, they are really good and tasty and my kind of food.
Had a couple of nsd since Friday,I find it easier to buy what I need as I go along, but as I'm on my own I only have to fend for myself.
This thread sure moves quickly

Hi nannyg I have just bought jacks book and we have had lentil burgers, bean burgers, mushroom stroganoff, soda bread and pizza so far. All delicious I totally agree.
It's making the GC much easier I think and I had an NSD yesterday ( first of 4 hopefully). I have £2.78 left for next 3 days which should be plenty. May have a splurge with my £2.78 on Friday or might put some onto my 'payment a day'. I know it's only £2.78 but it feels great to be in control of our money at the moment.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

No spends yesterday or today. I have to admit I do think having your grocery budget in your purse and treating it as that's all you have till your next pay day is really working for me. Last month I managed to put extra money away ontop of our pre planned amount of savings. With your budget money in your purse & not in the bank I am finding I am making food stretch even Furthur for example making leftovers into another meal etc when normally leftovers would go in the bin. It's made a massive difference.'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0

Had to pop out to SM again today so I'm not happy! DH has been having cereal more often for breakfast so needed to get another 4 pints of milk - I've already bought 8 pints which was supposed to last until my next normal shopping day of Thursday! Also needed to buy some more eggs as my sister is coming down and we're going to France for the day tomorrow and as we'll eat out at lunchtime will just need a snack when we get home so will have scrambled eggs on toast.
I'm making a prawn curry for dinner tonight and when I went to get the prawns from the freezer there is only half a bag left - I was certain there was a full bag as well but certainly no sign of it - so had to buy some more raw prawns. I've got plenty of cooked prawns but don't like them in curry; to me there are for defrosting and eating in a prawn cocktail or with a salad and not being reheated as I think they go rubbery! Bought an extra bag so I've got a spare in the freezer again.
I think I need to do another freezer inventory sometime this month before I do the next meal plan (I've currently planned up to 24th when DH gets paid).
Will update signature shortly.

A spend of £5 for me to add today.
I got a Wowcher for four Graze boxes costing £5. I love Graze but it's waaay too much of an extravagance for me. At 16 afternoon snacks for £5 though I thought that was a reasonable deal. So that's my desk drawer sorted for the month and hopefully will be able to nick some ideas for making my own Graze boxes on the cheap.:o
