Hello everyone,
Low spends for me so far, £4.93 on herbs, milk etc all necessary, dinner tonight was another Jack recipe, they are really good and tasty and my kind of food.
Had a couple of nsd since Friday,I find it easier to buy what I need as I go along, but as I'm on my own I only have to fend for myself.
This thread sure moves quickly

Well a no spend weekend for me!
I've found a trick to stop DH eating the whole gammon. Cut it in half after cooking and only put that out to carve. So should have plenty for cheesy, leek and ham pie tomorrow and a mixed meat fried rice later in the week.
DH was at home for the weekend so I think I'll run out of bread and milk this week. How can he eat almost a loaf and a half in 2 days?Grocery Challenge June £229.58/3000 -
My goal this month is £40 (and using up my freezer/store cupboard). So far I have spent:
£2 - 20 eggs
80p - milk
= £2.80/£40“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Nipped to Mr T this morning. Items on list were around £11, and I also picked up 2kg of dry lentils, a tub of dried thyme and a garlic bulb that weren't on my list but I realised I was going to need. So £16.42 spent there
After lunch I took my planned trip out to Costc0, Got the planned bits for DS1 and for OH's Mum and checked the prices I wanted to find. Also managed to spend £13.77 on food items (pastrami, C0ffee Mate, bagels - first time I've been able to get these as I've never had freezer space before and can't manage 12 in 3 days! - and some white part baked baguettes as DS1 won't eat the brown ones I have). But I talked myself out of about another £50 worth I could have easily brought home with me
Also spent on some non-GC items including washing powder (which will last me for years based on the box I'm about to finish off) and fabric conditioner (could last anything up to 12 months based on the small bottle DS1 brought home a couple of months ago).
Then nipped in Mr A (next door, and can just get away without moving the car between car parks - easier as the Mr A one is especially nasty to get out of) where I spent £2 on a tub of Fl0ra (cheapest place for it at the moment - at least of the places I was going to be anywhere near in the next couple of weeks)
So I'm now 28.9% of the way through my June budget, and we're only 2 days (or 6.7%) of the way into the month
Shouldn't need any meat for meals though (my meal plan for the month is all sorted from the food hamper I ordered this morning and freezers), so all I should need is bread (if I don't make it), milk (for DS1 as I'm on long-life soya), fresh veg, and cooked meat for sandwiches (should already have enough in for this week and some/all of next).Cheryl0 -

NSD today.
Had a yummy tea. Fish fingers, hm wedges, beans and a slice of homemade bread. (My first loaf from my new bread maker!) not the healthiest of choices but it was so good.
Also made a soup today from left over veggies, so that is my lunch sorted for tomorrow! - vegetable soup with homemade bread!
I also used up the leftover chicken and vegetables from yesterday's dinner to make three family sized pies. I sent one home for my mum and dad to have for their dinner and put the other two in the freezer for when they are needed!Grocery challenge-

Hmmme, a spendy few days. Had a few vouchers, which has encouraged me to buy things I didn't really need - naughty. A total of £18.50 off, so the total would've been even higher - like cw18 I have too much month left for my budget! Need to meal plan tonight and get back on track.0
