  • Hello! I would love to join this challenge, so please can you put me down for £100. This is probably a little ambitious but I'd like to see how I can cope with it!

    Thanks! :)

    NSD yesterday :)
I've had a great week as I did a cook off on Tuesday, so I've had meals ready cooked all week.
I'm looking at buying my first ever bicycle. I want a red one with a wicker basket on the front. I'm 46 so it's about time! We live a stone's throw from the beach and prom and my Dh and Dd both have bikes so I want one too!
We are off to Bolton today to visit family so I'll go to the market there.
    Woop!

Meal plan for next week looks like this:)

Sat - meal out using voucher I got for Mother's Day
Sun - chicken chaseur, mash, green beans, carrots
Mon - butternut squash, goats cheese and beet root tortilla and salad
Tue - pork and bean cassoulet with brown rice
Wed - omelette with beans and Slimming world chips
Thur - pasta bake and salad
Fri - chicken and chorizo Spanish rice
Sat - burgers, wedges and salad
Sun - roast chicken, roast pots, cabbage and carrots

There are 3 new recipes included for me to try.:)

My shopping list doesn't look huge; fruit, cabbage and carrots, bread, milk, wraps, ham, eggs, potatoes, goats cheese, beet root and salad. I may need a bit more chicken and sausage but it is the huge quantity of fruit that we eat that will push up the total cost.

I may leave the shopping until tomorrow as we don't need anything for today.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

    Hello

Oh dear! I had a major fail last month having overspent by £182 :o

I have given myself a stern talking to, so please can you put me down for £100 this month. It is going to be challenging, but I do have a lot of foodstuff lurking in the freezers and pantry. I will need to top up on some bits and pieces during the month but I will do this using my local shop, and not doing an internet shop as this is where I end up spending more.

    Good Luck all.

This probably isn't strictly a NSD as I've put in an online grocery order, but that comes out of the bank tomorrow, feeling very ventouse as it was half my usual weekly spend, all meal plans complete for the weeK.

pennygrabber I do that too, we have a separate bills account and all of the unavoidable bills, mortgage, power, council tax etc come out of that. It works really well.

I am trying the same for the groceries, which is why my month will go from the 6th each month.

    First shop for June.

Sat down this morning and planned our meals for the week, checked what we had in the cupboards and made my list.

    £62.76 spent

Shouldn't need to buy anything more this week, apart from fresh rolls and milk.

Well had to spend today but shouldn't come out of my GC money so still classed as a NSD ... I think ;)

Needed to dye my hair as it was past desperate ... I don't have personal spends as such as I don't buy magazines, don't drink so don't really go out much and don't buy many new clothes (I tend to buy better quality whilst in the states and they normally last until my next trip over) ... but I do need to make sure I keep those greys hidden as long as possible :)

Yep convinced myself its not grocery related so a NSD ... come to think of it really its a necessity like my prescriptions ;) ... well that might be stretching it a bit
