Harvey's faulty goods returned 30days ago and still waiting on refund, help!

Options
So last may I purchased a table and 6 chairs, and a side board from Harvey's furniture store in Belfast. It arrived about June time.

I paid a cash deposit and then the balance on my credit card.

It was faulty due to the finishing varnish lacquer not being applied apparently. Took lots of lengthy phone calls and engineers calling out and persistence for them to finally accept responsibility.

Which they did in march. They messed about making me take 2 days off work to sit in waiting on them to collect the stuff, and never showed, resulting in more lengthy phone calls to premium numbers as the store refused to help

So they finally came and got the stuff 30 days ago, and I'm still waiting on my refund! I'm not happy, I want my money back!

I no longer have the goods so I want to know how long they have before they have to issue refund?

And can I claim for my phone calls, due to it being their fault?

I'm out a lot of money for no product, and even loss of earnings having to take time off work to wait on the engineers and then 2 days for the no shows on their collection and then the day that they finally collected the stuff.

Basically I want my refund asap, and considering claiming for the premium phone charges from my mobile and possibly my loss of earnings talking around 7 days off work

Have you tried asking Harvey's about your refund?

How much did each item originally cost you (excluding delivery)? If it was more than £100 then you can make a Section 75 claim against the credit card supplier. Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act makes the credit supplier jointly and severally liable for the contract with the retailer. Basically this means that any money the retailer owes you due to the contract can be claimed from the Credit Supplier instead. This only applies if the item you bought cost more than £100 though.

It may be a little complicated if the table and chairs are each considered separate items each individually priced, rather than a single item with several components. If that was the case you could only claim for the items that were priced over £100 I think.

Yes I am sick of asking Harvey's, they are telling me it needs to clear on their system 1st, but surely over 30days is not right?
They cost me 1060. Not sure of individual prices but everything over 100 anyway. I'm just so sick of waiting on my money:(

They don't have to give a full refund . They can deduct an amount representing the use you've had - 3/4 year. So if you get a full refund your already ahead
