Cancel Sky get NowTV?

I've had two boxes and an Entertainment Pass since November and I have no complaints.
There have been several outages recently, one affected me apparently as I got emailed a one month free pass but I didn't even try to use the service that night.
Not into Sports and only really watch The Simpsons live, everything else on catch up.
If I try to watch catch up when the service is down (hasn't happened yet) then it's no big deal to go back when it is working.
At £4.99 a month for Entertainment I am a very happy customer although as I said I realise there have been service issues recently. If I was a sports customer and paid for a certain match, yet was unable to watch i'd be pee'd off too.
But I am not and overall cannot repeat how happy I am with the service.0 -
The OP didn't mention sport!!
And you didn't mention Game of Thrones either. The fact is with any kind of high demand this service is going to crash due to the garbage delivery methods they are using.
The fact is Sky have chucked out an embarrassingly dumbed down Roku box for ten quid without providing any network back up support for it if it goes wrong.

Lol, why would I mention game of thrones? Nobody asked about it.
I thought the box was good value for £35 including 5 months of movies. So far so good, obviously not as good as TiVo or sky+ but a fraction of the cost0 -

Indeed. Its a low level entry box offering low level quality with low level service. And to be frank, Sky couldn't give a toss if it goes down.
Its all right for a tenner, but let the buyer beware.0 -
Bought the movies NowTV box last week and have tried the service out so just cancelled my Sky TV package. Wasn't offered a good deal (35% off tv) to stay so went ahead with the cancellation and was then offered half price fibre as that deal was only available without tv!!0

I'm planning the same, going to use it for a full-week and then cancel on Thursday/Friday; I'm finding the picture quality much better than I originally expected.
Have you tried the 4.99 entertainment pack?0 -
Not tried the entertainment pack yet but will get it next month once my TV contract has ended. Got the NowTV movies package as it was better value than the entertainment one.0

I have a 32" Samsung TV, and the NowTV picture quality is fantastic for movies.
Whether it is actually HD or not I don't know, but that's just a label because it's far superior to Film4 for example and I can't tell the difference between BBC1 HD and NowTV.
If you try to cancel your movies subscription online it will eventually offer you 6 months for £6.99.
Or, if you prefer, and have several debit cards and email addresses, you can set up new accounts for another 30 days free0
