it wasnt meant that way x is suffer from depression lost my dad to stroke 2 years ago and i personally wasn't poking fun sorry again0

Erm, I would sooner bin cleaning cloths than put them in with laundry.....
I soak mine periodically in the kitchen sink with bio washing powder then in bleach. Once they're really stained or have been mistakenly used to clean the bin (eeurgh!) they go in the bin.0 -
.
the only thing that gets bleach clean in this house is the toilet and work surfaces after raw chicken. i also like to wash beddings and towels at at least 60
.......and I've been a nurse for the past 23 years
This isn't meant as a criticism but why don't you use a chopping board? I never put any foodstuffs on the worktop - I always use a board or a plate. And proper hygienic chopping boards, all the right colours etc as my son is a chef so is very adamant about this!0 -
With the exception of a microfibre white cloth for dusting, I use kitchen roll for all cleaning, I cannot use a cloth in the bathroom....yuk.
I clean windows with kitchen roll, clean the oven out etc. I use 8 rolls per week (I like cleaning)
I would not put any cleaning cloth into the laundry, yuk.
I couldn't have different coloured chopping boards in the kitchen, they wouldn't coordinate with the kitchen, I simply wash my chopping board at the time of use if I'm using it for veg then raw meat. (Never the other way round).
I'm particular too.

Wow! I never imagined this thread would go on for another two pages after I last saw it. I don't subscribe to threads and so never noticed, sorry I wasn't ignoring anyone. I was just looking through past posts today.
Thanks for all the wonderful advice everyone and a special thankyou to Alphamare and Takeaway_Addict. I was being ignorant rather than malicious, but that's no defence. I'm as particular about other words "R*tard" and"M*ng" amongst others, I just wasn't thinking and I'd like to apologise.
Other than that, I decided to go on washing those cloths separately after the advice on page one - My washing machine also weighs the washing or something, so I guess it isn't *that* bad.0 -

Agree with this. Ocd ruins lives !Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -

It is a serious illness that to many people take flippantly, people don't joke about strokes, heart disease in the same manner so why do it with mental health issues?
Well said !Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Just realised people meant cloths for cleaning. I use sponges which I soak in the sink to clean then throw away after a while. Towels, however, do get washed with other clothes (unless they're white).
My sister has OCD and I can assure you, she's neither clean nor tidy; it can manifest in many ways!!0 -
We'll I am afraid I just chuck everything in separating whites and colours but wash often... I just think we live within everything and with everything. The only exception is the loo.... Paper and chucked!Try and do a good deed every day.0

I always wash my cleaning cloths separately, I have such sensitive skin I try to make sure there is no cross contamination.
I use my steamer a lot so tend to have a small half load of washing to go through so not too bad.
I also rinse the machine through if I do stuff like that or dog towels. If I had a way of plumbing it in I'd have a separate washing machine just for the dog stuff! Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising
