That's true. A colleague of mine was looking to get an au pair and whilst he was looking at young attractive females his wife liked the candidates that looked like "The Gruffalo". His words, not mine.
Also, a young attractive female lodger (housekeeping or not), may be more likely to start bringing her boyfriend around. But I doubt I'd get any more rent from him...0 -
Of course that same benefits system also means that the type of "job" you are offering is singularly unattractive to most compared with claiming housing benefit and working in a more conventional employment situation.
Nothing to stop you moving to a third world country that still exploits people though. You'd find a similarly institutionalized ex-pat community there too made up of others who often can't really manage for themselves either and whose careers are coming to a close.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
