Good luck to all flykids taking exams soon!
I'll echo that too. My short-sighted family planning :rotfl: means that DD is on the brink of her A2s and DS1 is in the midst of GCSEs so exam stress/revision is at high levels here. I'm guessing exams must be a near annual event in the Piggers household? Once again I wonder how you manage?

Thanks for the vibes to LW, Bossy, Vanilla, Nicki, MrsMP, Dusty, and everyone else and passing extra calming vibes to all flyhouseholds with exam takers and teachers.

Have put washing on line and set dinner cooking but not much else apart from work and study group today, tomorrow is another day though!

Hello all. Paid stuff finished for another day but I can't take the dogs out for a second walk as it is heavy rain and thunder here at the moment. OldDog is trying to decide where to hide.

Good luck to all flykids taking exams, remind them though that it is not the end of the world as long as they do their best. I personally think todays teens are subjected to silly stress. Just my opinion.

Right thought I'd see what I've done from the lists (some done at weekend):

Manic Monday - Killer Kitchen and Dapper Dining Room
    15 minutes...
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Get that radio on super-blast...[/STRIKE]
Open the windows and let in the summer! hahahahahaha
    30 minutes to spare...
Sweep and Mop the floor -swept only
Clean those icky filters and drawers from DW's, WM's etc
Wipe the cupboard fronts, all the appliances and all those manky corners!!
    Got an hour...
[STRIKE]Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty and clean out the fridge[/STRIKE].. including the drain hole bit at the back..
    Clean oven/hob
Pick a cupboard and empty and clean it out and replace only what you wish to keep!
    Extras
    • binbag dance!
    • HHI ..
    • Clean windows and sills
    • Clean the oven shelves.. soak them in wash powder.. that works!

Mad Tuesday - Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    15 minutes...

    [STRIKE]Wipe and water neglected plants[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove clutter from floors, chairs and fireplace[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Open the windows and let in some fresh air[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare...
Vacuum floors and sofas - floors only
Dust those flat fluffy surfaces -LR only
    Got an hour...
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
Clean windows, pictures, mirrors etc. - LR only oh and mirror in hall
Sort out the shoes and boots and fling the dead ones and the out grown ones
Vacuum hall, landing and stairs.. all the way up to the top!!!!!
    Extras
    • [STRIKE]Wipe woodwork in the hall and stairs & wipe front door.. inside and out![/STRIKE]
    • Wash any nets/curtains that need cleaning.. put up fresh ones!
    • [STRIKE]Wash those winter coats and put them away/fling the manky old ones.. including the one you have worn for about 10 years!! It is dead.. get rid![/STRIKE]
    • 1[STRIKE]5 minutes filing[/STRIKE]
As you can probably tell, I work up the lists rather than down if that makes sense as then I do the jobs that would be neglected as they don't fall into daily category.

Have also done dailies and 4 washloads today.

Waiting for DH to get home and will cook stir fry tonight.
Spend less now, work less later.

Lemanie that was me 2 years ago with A2's and GCSEs. Luckily my boys have always been quite calm re exams but DS2 is a bit stressy now for A2s as there is so much riding on it (not in the grand scheme but in their current life stage). DS3 doing end of year exams all week too (although it seems a tad early as we are not even in the last half term!).

Boys picked up as downpour at school so cricket there cancelled. 15 minutes on the next report then I'll do dinner for DS3 and me, DS2 is cooking his now.

I am going to be preparing a snack tonight as not much else. Had my jaws played about with at the hospital today, DD4 was not cooperative at all, full on meltdown in the pushchair as I had no one with me, so I ended up hoiking her up onto my tummy while I was laying down in the Dentist chair, where she watched patiently for 45 minutes as my mouth was pulled about.

Was driving back to get DS from nursery, I suddenly had the most excruciating pain but before I could even think to pull over, my big Ten@ style pants (I normally have to wear for AF otherwise I can't risk leaving the house) let me down, so I had to drive straight home for a clean up, chuck some diluted disinfectant on the drivers chair bungled some towels on top and got to nursery just in time.

I know from the way I am feeling now (ie I could happily dig my kidney out with a rusty spoon) that I have evicted a kidney stone....so plenty of tea and fluids AND rest between now and Friday, and if the house looks like it has been infested with a swarm of Tazmanian Devils so be it.

At some point [STRIKE]I WILL [/STRIKE] DD3 will have to go out to the car and drag the shopping in from the car.....apart from a bottle of olive oil, it is practically all cleaning stuff.

You would think that I would be taking better care of myself to stop this happening, it's not rocket science, but these wake up calls for myself I just keep hitting the snooze button.......I will lurk for the rest of the week, so I can be as fit as I can for upcoming picnic on Saturday and McBust£d on Saturday night.

Right time for some more painkillers and a lie down. Skinty signing off

Luckily my boys have always been quite calm re exams...
DS1 is [STRIKE]very calm[/STRIKE] horizontal, it's me that is stressed, his school is in special measures and MOST of the staff are off long-term sick!
DS2 is a bit stressy now for A2s as there is so much riding on it (not in the grand scheme but in their current life stage)
Know what you mean, DD is very organised but has accepted a coveted place and is VERY determined.

 Piggers, I can always count on your household to give me a lesson in 'don't sweat the small stuff' ;)

Well I've had a productive evening. Spent most of the night answering the door. First it was the local red party candidate asking if anything else had happened today - I said I'd been at work and there were no other cars around so assuming everyone else was too. Then it was my nice neighbour. Then the other neighbour. Then the nice one again. Then I went next door but one lol. And then the guy opposite (who is a structural engineer, hooray, we also have an ex-police man and a property solicitor in the street :T). So we have a good vibe going on in the street, nothing like the threat of tr@vellers to unite a community ;)

After all this I have gelled my nails, so they are all pink and glossy, and I have made the cheesecake cheese bit. Oh my. I can't wait to try the assembled bit. Why did I not save enough to make a tiny one as a tester??? Anyhow, I had some of the topping in a meringue nest (which I've used bashed in the rocky road base) so its a good substitute. It's lush. I think I'm in love. Is it possible to be in love with dessert?

DW is on and lunches made for tomorrow. Think I'm off to bed *yawn*

    meh

    I'm so tired

and I forgot to log in Thanks to the thread meisters.

I have now found out what the 'copter was doing on Sunday (because it was VERY noisy and shouty) and they found a body in *my* country park on Monday - bloke from next road who went missing Sunday. At least it was quick IYSWIM. And apparently not *nasty*.

Anyway, welcome newbies. Lamewolf - divine (or otherwise) retribution? - load of carp IMO. Mind you, so's RA. Lupus on top must be agony. I'm glad you have Mr Wolf who sounds like a good 'un x

Piggers - what can I say? Hope DD isn't too devastated. x

Bossy - desserts are the best thing to be in love with;)
