    Afternoon

Thanks for all the lists, I will try harder this week!!!

Half the guests have gone home, I still have the other half of them here.

Downstairs is fully hoovered, and re hoovered again just to makes sure, dusting done, 10 yr old, likes squirting the polish on so I just have to polish it off! and get told off if I haven't done it right!

Been to Oxford University natural history and Pitt Rivers to day with said 10 yr old he seemed to enjoy it.

All ironing is done, but not a lot else

Hi to all newbies and hugs to eveyone else

Gosh where has the day gone!

So far I have done zip on the list. Been out this morning to the park and shop. Done the washing up, emptied and partially loaded dishwasher and need to tumble dry some washing. My rotary washing airer in the garden broke last Sunday - sheared off at the bottom! DH has bought a ground spike and is going to attempt to put it back up, it will of course be a bit shorter lol. Bit frustrating though as it's a sunny day today and I can't hang anything out.

LO's napping, due to wake up soon, so I am going to write a postcard for Postcrossing and then look at dusting the hallway - DD is napping in front room so will do that after.

    Dust those flat fluffy surfaces
    Got an hour...
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
    Clean windows, pictures, mirrors etc.
Sort out the shoes and boots and fling the dead ones and the out grown ones
Vacuum hall, landing and stairs.. all the way up to the top!!!!! DH did this on Sunday ^_^
    Extras
Wipe woodwork in the hall and stairs & wipe front door.. inside and out!
Wash any nets/curtains that need cleaning.. put up fresh ones!
Wash those winter coats and put them away/fling the manky old ones.. including the one you have worn for about 10 years!! It is dead.. get rid!

Get that radio on super-blast... - not got one - does it help?
No; the presenters' inane jabber very swiftly has me wanting to throw the radio out of the window.:rotfl:

It rained again, so that's any thoughts of cutting the grass also out of the window. Luckily I saw it coming up very dark skies and brought the washing in. All except my dress is dry.:T

Coming out of lurkdom in the hope that posting will make me do something!
We go on holiday a week on Friday and I need to create some order before we go!

Bossymoo - all Council meetings need to to adhere to strict rules. There must be three clear days notice of a meeting. The 'clear' days don't include weekends, Bank Holidays, the day the Notice is put up or the day of the meeting. So I suspect this was the quickest your council could manage.

It is frustrating but if they had been proposing to spend your Council Tax on a holiday to the Bahamas for the Councillors you would have wanted warning of the meeting!

I deal with Planning Applications as part of my job and do have a few thoughts on your problem please let me know if you would like a couple of pointers.

Paid stuff to get on with then must make a plan of action for the house.

Thanks very much, Looby I appreciate that!
Thankfully the council seem to be on the ball I've had two update calls today and stop notices have been served again. The building control guy has been round and he thinks the ground is stable (not counting the untreated mineshaft entry just along the valley ) but is sending the geo-techs just in case the wet weather continues. So I'm happy our properties aren't at any immediate risk. The rest of the issue has gone to the environment agency and the legal services people now. So just a waiting game now, I think.

I've just made a white-choc rocky road mix to use as a cheesecake base - the young lad in our team is 24 this week, bless him, and since I am the only female in the team (and they regularly cajole me into baking) it seems I'm in charge of birthday fodder. The guys have sourced a card and a bottle of red, so I guess that's fair. He's apparently not a fan of regular cake, and this is easier for me as it's no-bake :T so the base is in the fridge and I'll do the cheesy bit later.

MIL, bless her, has cleaned the kitchen after taking the littlies to school for me this morning :A oh and they used their voucher at the weekend and said the meal was lovely!

Right, I better go collect my babies, wonder how dirty they are tonight...:rotfl:

Good luck to all flykids taking exams soon!
