    Hello again!

Trying to write a letter to UKPPO highlighting the points made on the previous page about being in breach of the BPA code and complaining to them and the DVLA but I'm finding it tough on how to phrase this without repeating myself or actually making sense.

I've had another look through the newbies thread but I can't find a template letter in there for this stage of the process and wondered if one of you lot might help me write a letter or provide a template I can add to?

    Thanks

    It's really very simple.

    Dear Scum,

I appealed on dd/mm/yyyy. You failed to respond within the prescribed 35 days therefore I deem my appeal accepted. If you disagree send a PoPLA code so you can pay them £27 to cancel the charge.

You have been reported to BPA Ltd. and DVLA for breaching the BPA AOS Code of Practice.

There, wasn't so hard was it?

OK, so how does this sound?:
    Dear UK Parking Patrol Office

    PCN number XXXXX
I am writing to you again regarding the above PCN issued on the [date] and the lack of response from you requesting a POPLA appeal code.

I initially wrote to you on the [date] May 2014 after receiving your notice to keeper letter (photocopy of proof of postage is enclosed along with another copy of that letter) appealing this charge and give me further explanation and break down of what you were attempting to charge me for. Under the BPA Code of Practice you are required to acknowledge my appeal within 14 days and decide whether to reject or accept my appeal within 35 days and keep me informed of any delays. Since you did neither of these things and are have now referred the claim to a debt collection company without giving me any updates, or a POPLA code I deem my appeal to have been accepted.

I will now also be writing to the BPA and DVLA informing them of your breach of the code of practice by ignoring my appeal, failing to issue a POPLA code and continuing to pursue payment.

    Yours,

Sounds good to me. Short and to the point (although not quite as short and pointy as my suggestion :))

Just noticed something in the debt collector's letter that I would like some clarity/reassurance on...

They say to ensure payment reaches them no later than 23rd July. Obviously we are now passed that.

What are they now likely to be doing? Getting ready to take it to court? Upping the charge they are attempting to claim?

Do I need to worry any more about that, or just continue with the current plan of sending the letter above and complaining to the BPA and DVLA?

Q: How do you know when a debt collector is lying? A: His lips are moving.

    Just press on.

I am not sure why you were parked there, are you a resident, or were you visiting a resident? If so, there are other ways to make life difficult for the PPC.
