Kingdavid82, in your first post you mention the ticket is for parking in the car park for a block of flats.

Are these flats where your g/f lives ?.

If so, I suggest she gets hold of the lease in order to see if it mentions anything about allowing a PPC to run the parking. Bet it doesn't.

I am not sure why you were parked there, are you a resident, or were you visiting a resident? If so, there are other ways to make life difficult for the PPC.

We are both residents of the block, living together. Her car happens to be registered to her mum's address as it has just been purchased and we haven't had a chance yet to change the log book details to our address.

We rent the flat through an agency so I don't think the contract we have would say anything about the parking. I did get one on the day we moved in as I had parked both my car and the rental van in the car park so I could move our stuff in. My car got a ticket but the rental van didn't (despite being next to each other!) and the caretaker just said he would sort it out as we din't have a permit as it was our first day and he'd get one to us ASAP.

The management company only give out one permit per flat, so despite some of the flats having 2 cars, and there being loads of space we can only park one on there at a time. We simply forgot to move it after we had stuck it in there to do some quick repairs (rather than do them on the road and risk being run over)

But anyway - RESULT! .....of sorts.

Got a letter from the PPC this morning saying "blah blah, we can see you sent us a letter in May...lost in the post.... sorry etc..... as a gesture of goodwill we will cancel this charge.....don't park there again without a permit because we won't cancel it in the future....."

Despite the grief, I am tempted to park there again to prove to them that what they are doing is wrong (as I have said, there are many many more spaces than there are flats, and many of the flats don't have a car so we wouldn't be denying anyone else a space doing this) and I'm certain they have only cancelled it because I pointed out they had breached the code and told them I would be complaining to the BPA that they've bricked it and decided its probably not worth the bother of getting in trouble with the BPA, or they are on the verge of losing their licence that they don't want to risk it so trying to make amends.

Well done good result, "good will" indeed as if they are an authority doing you a favour!:rotfl:
However I doubt they are worried about losing their license the BPA want any form of cash flow into their old boys club and make excuses for their dodgy members all the time!
That's the main reason why all the sanction points awarded to members are shrouded in secrecy with codes instead of members actual names.
