Things have certainly changed in the last few years then, haven't really looked at the accounts of these companies to see how much their turnover is, so just assumed it was around that figure. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. That is certainly what those figures suggest.
And I've got a copy of some BPA Council minutes somewhere (can't place them right now) where one of the meeting members said that only 1 in 3 people pay.
That would be the June 2012 meeting

Hmmm never seen that before, now I wonder if pofa 2012 has made any difference to that figure? Also has all these court cases actually made any difference? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

If parkingeye say their average payment per ticket is £63, and their turnover is £14.2 million, this suggests that 225,000 tickets were paid. As they issued 700,000 tickets, this suggests only around 1 in 3 is paid.
However all the above requires trust of one or more figures produced by parkingeye.
Sadly, this is not always wise.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -

So it's in black and white direct from the BPA their charges are not GPEOL but a deterrent:
3)The purpose of the parking charge is intended as a deterrent. It is no deterrent if
the amount of the charge maximum is reduced
and, the discounted settlement is increased0 -
Come on Martin ....
You must see the hundreds of people who come on here every week with basically the same problem .... Conmen on their back!
Do you not think that with your high profile you could be doing more to help these people and the thousands more that will follow?

I do believe that document is what could be called toxic with regard to the Parking Companies arguments and standpoint.
Having formally agreed to fixing charges then later dressing them up as 'costs' puts this firmly in the scam bracket.
What is it the Judge said recently?

If the parking companies want to avoid all these costs then the simple solution is to close down the company (or never set it up in the first place). Costs are not the same thing as losses caused by a particular parking "event"What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi Stroma,
Thanks for the suggestion. We will be reviewing this guide shortly and will take into account what you've suggested.

MoneySavingExpert.comThank you Martin in taking time out to respond to us on here, I will tow the line by not calling individual companies scammers and scum, even if I feel they are! But as an industry they are cowboys, and that is your words.
Whilst we are talking here, can I ask that the information on the mse website is now out of date and needs updating , this is the current advice in the sticky thread below, it's by Coupon Mad and she is probably the best contributor on this forum. And would make a good forum guide btw

If the mse advice can be updated it would be great.
Many thanks0 -
