Nice post Martin, I thought for a moment you had sold out.
Having an organisation, such as "Parking Eye" hound you through the legal system for 10 months does leave a little bit of a nasty taste in your mouth, so can completely understand the emotions expressed by posters on here.
It's more productive to box clever, after all, they are on to a loser.Illegitimi non carborundum:)0 -
Yes - it's a testament to the tolerance of the British public that people will commit significant resources to bringing these issues through the appropriate channels.

This post is good to see but couldn't it be made a sticky or lots of people will miss it as it drops off the front page?0

Your taking time to respond is appreciated. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Don't want this dropping off page 1 right now. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

When I read stuff like this, I do wonder if it'd be better if someone grew a set.....
parking eye prosecuting an 89 yr old who didn't need a parking ticket
Hello, I just wanted to post this story for everyone to read and it is about a court summons from parking eye to an elderly blue badge holder.
This man has a heart condition and was given an appointment to see a cardiologist at a walk in centre in coventry.his carer and driver took him to see the cardiologist at the appointed time and as per instructions was to inform the receptionist/security that he is a blue badge holder and gave the registration so they could cancel the car off the system.the doctor took a look at this gentleman and immediately rang around to get him a bed at the hospital, where he stayed for over a month.the receptionist did not remove his reg off the system and sent him a request for £70 or he would face a court.he never got the letters because of being in hospital and parking eye issued him with a court summons.our defence has gone in stating that he is a blue badge holder and so he did not need a ticket.they say he ignored all there letters and had he told them he was a blue badge holder they would not have incurred costs to pursue him.they now say that if he gives them £50 they will drop the case and if not they are convinced the judge will find in their favour and sting him for the full cost, which is about £130.we are in the process of getting help from the royal british legion as this man is a member of the airbourne division.Parking eye are scumbags and are bullying and stressing an disabled man with a bad heart, who has done nothing wrong and we as his friend want as much publicity as possible so that everyone knows what this shambolic and nasty company are doing.any advise or help would be appreciated.Thanks.Illegitimi non carborundum:)0 -
so basically guys what your being told is not to use derogatory, inflammatory, slanderous terms in posts directed or otherwise to certain "parking" companies.
in return MSE towers will do the upmost they can to retain threads and posts to their original presentation and defend yours and their position on the situation.
I think that's fair as often than not I do see allot of named references directed at "parking" companies in this sub section of the forum when I read it. if we see OP's that name call and slander perhaps we should direct them to delete them out and have a higher level of decorum.
Happy Birthday for yesterday martin! nice to see a response to the situation, and explanation to the point.0 -
In the case between Parking Eye Ltd and Somerfield Stores Ltd the presiding judge HHJ Hegarty QC found that Parking Eye was guilty of the tort of deceit and this was accepted by the Court of Appeal. Parking Eye have been found in court to be liars so describing Parking Eye as liars on a forum is an entirely factual statement backed up by the courts.0
