All your "they should" - seriously, get a grip....
Honest to God, I am not even going to properly reply ...as your post is so full of ... and "you owe me" attitude that I do not even want to waste my breath to respond.
What are you talking about?
It is you, and not me, that has been sprouting ideas that would only benefit you.
The ideas in my last post would not benefit me, any more than the next person.
Or are you not intelligent enough to see that?
I have spent far more time in work than not in work, some of which I have been on a good wage.0 -

Erm, yes of course - only I should benefit from what I work for. Simples.mattcanary wrote: »The ideas in my last post would not benefit me, any more than the next person.
Ever thought of emigrating somewhere where people wear uniforms and are "all the same"?
You see, I quite like being able to be an individual and make my own decisions (includng where my money goes, including taxes , NI etc as well as any help I may choose to give to whom I myself consider worth this help) myself.
So sorry I do not buy the "should" carp.Or are you not intelligent enough to see that? .
I am intelligent enough to be able to look after myself , make the best out of every situation without sitting on my back side and complaining that everything and everyone is against me and "there is nothing I can do".
Have a lovely rest of the day...:D0 -
I think it is worth pointing out that usually you need to have been signing on for three years to get to daily signing. I do have some sympathy with those who live in really poor areas, those with child care issues or some disabled ( especially those with learning difficulties) The rest can just deal with it as far as I am concerned. The World come on.....0

You just think you should have earnt more money than the next person when you were claiming JSA. Nothing noble or fair in that. Whilst claiming JSA, you were looking for work - the same as anyone else claiming JSA is (or should be)., so why should you have been paid any more than the next person.
That is as sense of entitlement.
You were moaning that you were not getting more whilst claiming JSA. And classing yourself as better than other jobseekers, in earlier posts.
That is what I have objected to - and trying to point out that you were just thinking about yourself, and not others. Ie: being selfish.
I repeat: you do not pay NI contributions solely for your own benefit.0 -
One slight flaw in your logic, there aren't enough jobs to keep everyone in employment
But don't let that stand in the way of your prejudices
And yes I am employed and yes I do pay taxes , further more I am an employer
Duchy
I may have misread your post , apologies
As a matter of interest what did you think my post was saying ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Well I think JSA should be paid according to how much you have put into the system.
I have a friend who worked continuously full time for over 40 years so paying tax and NI all that time. They lost their job about 6 months ago and so far have not had any luck finding another one. The pittance given for JSA and housing is however the same whether you have never worked or worked for 50 years non stopThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

I don't personally think they should. JSA is a scheme intended only to supply the very basic needs. Everyone has the opportunity to make better provision for themselves if they wish it.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

So... let me summarise.
A working person SHOULD - pay taxes, NI AND put money away for a rainy day.
A non working person needs to do NONE of the above.
And that is how things should be?

Anyway - back to original topic.
IMO - profesionally unemployed, people with no qualifications, experience, work history - sign on every day, force to do something every single day, 5 days per week.0
