I would agree, if the practice exists in the same way that it did in 1991, you could request rectification of the situation caused by their mistake, and at no cost to the estate. But if the will has passed between practices, I doubt liability would be accepted.

Meeting arranged, I have stated my case upfront. Fingers crossed they’ll be reasonable.1

Hi. I'm hoping to complete form C1 in the next day or so. However, I've noticed that 'box 15 (page 4) - net value of the estate', isn't automatically calculating and I can't update it either. Can someone point me in the right direction, thanks.

It would seem that when I save the C1 document it loses the ability to automatically calculate some boxes. Answer seems top be to complete the document in one go. Using Chrome rather than Safari.0

Can anyone help please? This is the situation:1) Father died in several years ago and his various bank accounts were automatically transferred to mother.2) The house was jointly owned with mother who survived father.3) Father's share certificates are still in his name as the companies concerned demand confirmation/probate.So, am I correct in thinking that I list everything he owned in the inventory including the sums in the accounts transferred to my mother and in the case of the house 50% of its value at the time of his death? Also, my head is about to explode with the declaration on his form as I have to account for my change of address, my sister's married name and change of address, plus my mother's death and her having resided at a different address prior to her death. Despite a number of attempts I cannot fit all this in the box!! I'd be eternally grateful for any suggestions re the wording of this as frankly I'm losing the will (no pun intended) to live!!
"the daughter and executrix nominate of the said deceased, conform to her will dated 8 June 1995 which is herewith exhibited, docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto. In said will I am designed as residing at *** a former address. In said will (sister’s name eg Jane Green Smith Brown née Smith) daughter of the deceased is designed as residing at ***. In said will the said deceased is designed as residing at *** a former address. In said will, (father’s full name) is also nominated as executor but the said (father’s full name) predeceased the said deceased."
The icing on the cake is that I'm also trying simultaneously to complete a C1 for my mother's estate as well as preparing to put the house on the market.

Was the house owned jointly with a survivorship clause, or jointly without a survivorship clause? The title deeds will say which.0

Can I also ask why your sister is included in the declaration?0

My mother, myself and my sister were all named as executors in my father's will. The will states "In the event of my said wife surviving me for a period of one calendar month I bequeath to her the whole residue of my estate as her absolute beneficial property." Re the title deeds - I believe they are still held by the building society so I can only go there tomorrow and speak to them about it.
