BCOBS 5.1.11 is your friend (or rather the appropriate part of the Payment Services Regulations, but I don't have the link to hand).(1) Where a banking customer denies having authorised a payment, it is for the firm to prove that the payment was authorised.
(2) Where a payment from a banking customer's account was not authorised by the banking customer, a firm must, within a reasonable period, refund the amount of the unauthorised payment to the banking customer and, where applicable, restore the banking customer's account to the state it would have been in had the unauthorised payment not taken place.0 -

It was a company called crosstraininguk on amazon that used my debit card for their own purposes !
According to Nationwide (who are refunding me over £300)0 -
So let me get this totally right.......we need to be certain
You are saying/alleging that a Amazon marketplace trader called Crosstrading UK took your debit card details following a legitimate purchase by you from them on their marketplace shop within the Amazon site and then subsequently used your card details for their own purposes thereby committing fraud against yourself?0 -

Yes - that's what I am assuming / it looks like - I have not used my card at all in the last month, otherwise !!
Nationwide informed us, in a phone call to Security, yesterday - that it was MY card, rather than my wifes and we normally use her card for everything - the only transaction that I have made in the last month is this Amazon one
Nationwide have stopped several more attempts too !!0 -
I'd be notifying Amazon as they'd probably take an interest- hopefully.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
