Hi All,
It's a month or so before my own pay review is happening but I was wondering how things have been going for other MSEs in NI is relation to salaries - are there freezes or are people seeing improvements?

In general I think there is signs of movement but I think it depends greatly on the type of job you are in. I'd say lower paid unskilled roles aren't seeing much of an increase but some of the skilled jobs in the likes of manufacturing I think are seeing some increases as work picks up..0

NHS 1% for all staff on the top of their incremental scales. Yet another pay cut thenI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0

Our last raise was 5 years ago0

I think it depends industry to industry. We got circa 2% but had an actual paycut four years ago of 7.5% that we are still recovering from.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Progress not perfection.:T100%through my 1% mortgage challenge. 100% through my pb challenge.0

Is that not good?
With the current cost of living ?
I know the good folks on here have little time for Health Service Staff as we are over paid with too many holidays and massive multi million pound pensionsFor the past 5 years we have had 3 with no pay rise and the past 2 with 1%, this years, none if you have an increment.
After 22 years service I am paid just above the NI average wage and at present I am failing to run a home, car (needed for work) and family.
So a 1% pay rise for me this year is not good, especially as it has vanished with higher pension contributions:oI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

Fair point, however I was under the impression that this 1% was on top of an incremental rise?
You mentioned the NI average wage - what is it?0 -
