I know this thread is 3 years old :o

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought you couldn't take dairy products into the US?? Or is it particular states?

Whenever we've been to Florida the stewardess has always come round before landing to take any dairy products off people and filling in the Visa Waiver form you've had to sign to say you were not bringing any dairy into the country.

    Am I missing something here:(

Chocolate is fine. When they ask if we have any food items I always say 'yes, chocolate and tea bags', and have never had a problem, just get waved through.
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

    The American Cadburys is Hersheys.

and Lorne57 Choclate is not a Dairy Product.

Milk etc is. Choclate is processed anyways.

paulinespens......funny how they always asked for and took it off us then:huh:

Don't bother with taking it much these days anyway.....I look/feel too green to eat chocolate while on the plane:rotfl: and it would probably turn to mush by the time I got to our hotel.

Going on holiday to Florida is the only time I lose weight usually (though didn't last time ...2008:eek:)

Off in October so hopefully all the walking across the beach in Sarasota will mean I lose a few pounds (about a stone or two would be good:j

I think it tastes like sick (but didnt really want to tell every one that)..guess I have now

So glad you said it but I totally agree! That is exactly what I used to think! I lost quite a bit of weight in the states, I think I was busier and more active but also a lot was to do with the chocolate being so yuck!!! :j

I lived in the states for a year in 2000 and my friends used to send me chocolate in the post (and trashy magazines!!!).
