He wants to make sure he gets it in writing in his next job Sheils, he shouldnt be treated like that!
That's great your other son is coming home :)

Just put a dye on my hair, I decided against going green! :p
Haven't been out the house today except to put washing out so going into town tomorrow for a couple of hours while DH fixes roof (hopefully!)

DS2 just sent message saying problems with railway up north and he was hoping to catch 5am train so will have to see.
Chefs don't seem to be treated fairly anywhere they are just expected to work away but not normally for as little money as DS3 was getting. I would claim for back pay as it has been illegal even for 40hrs never mind the 50 plus he was doing but he doesn't want to.

Surely it must be on the books somewhere how many hours he has done so I would take them to a tribunal or even mention to the boss that he was considering it as it's illegal. He has nothing to lose if he's going to leave anyway, maybe the boss might get worried if he threatens with legal action! I'm sure he wouldn't want his restaurant named & shamed! Hope be gets what he is owed xx

    Good Morning,

Sun coming out here too Bella. Great pic!

Haven't had message from DS2 so bet he has missed train (if it was running) Goodness knows when he will arrive now.
Hope everyone has a lovely day and have some nice WEMs. Love the prize I have won this month but it would be nice to get another comping fairy if you are listening.

Just heard from DS2 FF. He went to station and train wasn't running and too early to put on a bus! He thinks they are running now. Things always go wrong when he wants to travel home. When he stayed in Borders they had heavy snow every time he was travelling in winter.
He has also been known to sleep in , fall asleep on train and over shoot and quite often misses connections!

Hope he arrives home eventually! I remember many years ago being in Glasgow with my mum when our train home to Newcastle was cancelled so had to get two buses - the journey home took us about 8 hours and we sick as we had bag loads of Christmas shopping to carry too!

I must admit, my experience on any trains has not been good - I always seem to be hit with delays or cancellations whenever I travel on them! :(

I seldom use them bella but remember being stuck on one for 3 hours going from Carlisle to London with two oldest boys when they were little. It was a nightmare as they kept asking when we would get there. On way back there was a bomb scare!
Trains from Highlands not very frequent at best of times so goodness knows when he will get here. This is a difficult town to get to as well as no railway and have to change buses several times. He has huge case and all his chefs knives etc too as he has been away working for weeks.
