Ive been with them nearly a year and never had any complaint. I was with BT before who in my opinion were the "pitts"
Just wait until you do have a complaint or problem. Good luck.
Good customer service is an essential part of a broadband package. Tiscali don't have a customer service dept. They have a customer annoyance dept :mad:0 -

Iv'e been with Tiscali about 2 years now and after i upgraded to 8mb recently my service went downhill ,i get slower speeds now than when i was on 2mb ,spoke to customer service eventually .told its my pc ,either that or its the distance to exchange 1.5 miles ,had no problem till i upgaded ,now they don't want too know.I'm lookin for new ISP .0 -
Until 2 days ago i spent the worst 12 months of my on-line life with tiscali. i moved house 3 months ago and since then i had a speed of only 512k, repeated phone calls only ended in them saying that, my exchange was only enabled for 512 i could not get any faster, this is after speaking to BT who told me the exchange was enable for max and i should get 2M at my distance. Despite telling tiscali this they repeatedly denied it was true, so finally i got a MAC of them and guess what, with my new supplier i get 2.5M all day long.
The only problem i have now is that they are still charging me 17.99 a month after telling me repeatedly that they have put me on the 12.99 package0 -

Hi thisisjoe, This is the response I received from Tiscali when I had a slow connection speed, https://uk-tiscali.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/uk_tiscali.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=200
following their instructions improved the speed immediately.

What can you infer from the statistics...
It shows that you line sync speed is 7616 kbps and that your wiring is not causing any problems.
How are you testing your speed? Try using this speed tester and post the link to your result. Your profile may be stuck or they could be capping your speed. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
That is very slow compared to your sync speed, which is the maximum that your line can support. I would ask them why you are getting 242kbps when your router is syncing at 7616kbps.
Surely you have grounds to leave them, if that is the best they can do, as your sync speed is very good.
Are you sure that you have not been capped for excessive downloading on their mis-advertised "unlimited package"? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
How will I know if my broadband is capped or not. Do they sent any
warning letters ?0
