I will be getting around 2k a year from 60 in DB so not exactly enough to retire on (oops, I already have :rotfl:). I should probably be more conservative as I'll be 55 next month () and may want to go into drawdown on one account. Yup, aware of sterling impact though not all funds are non-UK based but it has certainly helped
.
Sorry GG, for some reason you never copied over into the multiquote (silly forum).
Snap! Also expecting £2k or so, although I may be 65. Actually need to get an update from them, haven't had a statement to show inflation adjustments for 5 years or so
Something like a 60/40 fund with a year or so of cash would probably be sufficiently conservative?
Parents starting to talk about retiring quite soon, clearly in a good demographic0 -

I was pleased with Theon for the first time, though.

Well, looks like one of my goals was a bit too easy, passed £20,000 in employer pension yesterday, yay volatility! :j
New target is £25,000 between employer pension and SIPP by year end
Pulled pork has started its 7 hour journey to the plate. Roasting pork, melting brown sugar and apple juice smells already driving me to distraction!0 -
Loved this last series of GOT, especially the finale. We went on a location tour ran by an extra from the show in Belfast earlier this year, now each episode has a bonus element of trying to spot him in the background!
They filmed some of it near us as well. There are a lot of movies filmed here, either partially or in full, becoming quite an industry again :T. THIS was filmed about a hour away. I should look at investing in the industry Ed, there are tax breaks out here

Today we went swimming, had a light lunch and went for a long walk in the park. DD was angelic until she got tired. Then we watched the Blu R@y of My Neighbour Totoro, wonderful
I also strimmed the garden, which took a lot longer than it will take most people. Haven't cut the grass since we moved in0 -
Pern0d bluergh. Had an incident with a bottle of Sambuc@ at university playing drinking chess during freshens week. Cannot stand aniseed since then....0
