Not really SHS, the fresh emulsion only shows up how aged the current gloss looks. I'm using those little latex rollers for doors and while they don't speed things up significantly, they're more efficient as they give a nice regular finish vs. brushes.
DD only woke up at 22:30 and 04:30. This will sound hilarious, but even with five and a bit hours of sleep I felt so rested (and I'd had several beers before bed!)
I cut the grass for the first time since moving in yesterday (7 months)I may have misunderstood how the hovervac worked and didn't realise that it doesn't always suck up all the trimmed grass on the 1st pass and that a forward/backward motion works best. I emptied it 7 times before I realised - what must the neighbours have thought? :rotfl: To demonstrate how bad the grass was, I now have a 90% full wheely bin and we have the largest garden on a street of small gardens
Darling Mrs E let me lie in to 08:00, which she is trying to convert into a shopping trip into town. Seems fair enough, will need to go get the deathtrap front tyre with the slow puncture replaced first. Hey, I may even give her a lift...- £78.75 to Emergency Fund (26.66% of target)

90 minutes to change a tyre? Good grief! Luckily garage is near old flat, so know where to get the good deli coffee... on my second cup 0

I do have a premium account, though, so perhaps that's the difference?
I do seem to remember a few months ago some transactions wouldn't pay out when they said they should, but when I waited a few days (or maybe a couple of weeks) they did end up as "Payable" across all the payment options.

Very odd. I've seen a lot of errors on their site lately re: logging in/viewing account details/etc so perhaps they're tweaking things behind the scenes and causing issues.0 -
Other front tyre gubbed, goodbye another £84. Worn down to belts, which is either illegal, an MOT fail or both frh from memory.
Edit: final tally was actually just shy of £1200 -
£105.34 paid into Emergency Fund (now at 47.73% of target).
£29.99 spent on a pair of replacement glasses. Mrs E somehow managed to move my original pair from the dashboard to the passenger seat and then they disapparated. We are splitting the cost, Lord knows why I'm chipping in... softy?0 -
Disapparated. Nice word.0

I'm probably preaching to the converted, but how cool is it picking up cracking albums for pennies on the pound from resellers on Am@zon? Just got 2 Biffy Clyro albums for £3 delivered :j0

I must be tired because I read that as getting cracked pennies for a pound, as in people were selling jars of old pennies that could be cleaned up/deposited in the bank.
In my defence I did assume that they were also being sold for pennies so still worth buying.
Hope you enjoy the albums, sounds like a good deal.0 -
Hang on ... you went to Hogwarts, didn't you!
Showing my age now, I've never heard of Biffy ClyroI've heard of Buffy Summers, mind ...
