Long !!! day. DD teething, congested and grumpy as holy hell. I love that child, still disappointed that I'm not a super parent

We are all super parents Eds. Your DD is fed, warm, clothed and most importantly, loved.

There will absolutely be moments when you feel like you are totally rocking this parenting thing, and moments you wonder where it all went wrong.

Be boring if it were easy though :D

Do you have any DB pensions GG? Seems quite a conservative choice of VLS (or do the others make up for it with bonus risk?). No investment Nazi here, although you do know that your funds have gone up because Sterling went down, right? ;)
I will be getting around 2k a year from 60 in DB so not exactly enough to retire on (oops, I already have :rotfl:). I should probably be more conservative as I'll be 55 next month () and may want to go into drawdown on one account. Yup, aware of sterling impact though not all funds are non-UK based but it has certainly helped :).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

    ;)

Haha. See no one tells you about this. It's the great parenting conspiracy. People with children keep all this fun stuff to themselves and impress how "amazing" kids are.

Well they are....... but bloody hell they make us work hard for that 2 second smile that may/may not actually be wind ;)

Mines a monkey for ninja creeping into our bed overnight, but when I wake up with a foot jammed in my throat my ire dissipates fairly quickly when I turn her round and she snuggles right up to me. Those moments won't last. When she's 16 I'll be lucky to get a wave never mind a hug/kiss.

Teething is crap, but this shall pass. (Then comes the terrible 2's/potty training/boundaries.....)

    Enjoy

I echo choccielover's comments re. parenting. :) From what you write on here, you're doing really well and are managing to combine parenting with renovating your new house and a full time job. Rather impressive, to be honest. However, do not forget our children will not remember how tidy / neat / well decorated the house was when they're older.... OK, OK I'm just hoping my son won't remember what a mess my place is. ;);) :rotfl:

What mower / strimmer did you buy? Hope the extension lead is not for the mower / strimmer. ;) It's not the weather for it down here at the moment and I hate gardening but have to say I don't mind playing with my c60 year old mower. :D
    2018 totals:

    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

In a funny way, it feels like DD is already showing some disturbingly toddlerish behaviours at 14 months!

Nothing complex (Flym0 hover mower and B0sch strimmer), but yes, electric (got to make use of my free solar energy!)

I thought I was hardened to the ultraviolence, but yikes, they like to ramp things up, don't they?
