Ouch! Woke up at 04:00 with flipping sore back. Took two ibuprofen, two paracetamol, a hot water bottle and an hour before I got back to sleep on the couch
I suppose that's an improvement on 02:30, but back was perversely more sore as I'd slept for longer and it had stiffened up.
I am sole caregiver this evening for DD, Mrs E is off for her first girl's night out in 5 months. Looking forward to the bedtime routine and baby giggles (have discovered that my pig impression is *hilarious* to a baby)
In money news, R@tesetter are running a great referral promo where both myself and anyone that I refer until the end of October gets £50 when they deposit and invest £500. I found a great little hack which speeds things up significantly (just invest the money for a month (comparable rates to S123) and then withdraw). Not sure where else you can get 10% growth in a month!
Mrs E now has a R@tesetter account funded by me, and we're both £50 better off :money:0 -

All of my UK experiences have been good (I currently lend with 3-4 different lenders). My only European experience (Bondora) was a total PITA (unexpected costs, fluctuating currency rates, questionable calculations from the site in question, ripoff bank charges).
I think that one reason that I've had good experiences with British sites is that I always keep myself as diversified as possible, so lots of small loans to lots of people.0 -
Not surprised that you're waking up with backache if you're sleeping on the sofa.
Enjoy your evening with daughter.
Going to have a look at the Ratesetter account(?) / website. Thanks.2018 totals:

The sofa is where I go *when* I wake up. Mrs E doesn't deserve to hear me cursing in the middle of the night!0 -
... and there was me thinking you two aren't getting along.
May be worth getting your back checked out by the doctor, especially if it's not causing you pain in the day.2018 totals:

I've been putting off joining RS/FC for months. This seems like an offer that's too good to miss, it may well be the kick up the bum I needed. If you'd like to make another free £50 please PM me the relevant details and your affiliate link :beer:0 -
Hi Ed et al!
I hope you enjoyed your holidays, Ed - it sounded lovely.
I've not been around much as I have moved!
I have a house, but as of yet no Internet so I have to save the bit I have on my phone for important housey stuff.
I should be getting reconnected next week so I'll be around more then.
All I can say is that moving was highly traumatic and I am never, EVER doing that again!
Now I'm a Proper Grown Up Homeowner I'm going to need investment advice.
Actually, I think I need some money to invest first...
Oh well, I can dream! :rotfl:
P.S. Sorry to hear about your back, Ed. Is it muscle or bone?Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

Several of my clients pay me by bank transfers now - the first time they do it, I ask them to send me £1, to link our accounts up properly, and then send me the rest
Plus there's paypal - when you join paypal, they send you two amounts of pennies, and you have to prove who you are by telling them how much they sentwhich I think is quite a good idea :j

Congratulations on the more PB
I think it's muscle, or maybe a trapped nerve? The pharmacist gave me co-codamol and I'm off to see the doctor on Friday. Not helped by my long office hours at the moment (I'm only in 4 days now).Several of my clients pay me by bank transfers now
