The yellow sounds fab. You are a resourceful man and I am sure that you will find something more suited to your skills than the job you currently have. Very good luck.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Thanks Squirrel, I feel newly empowered (if terrified) now that I have made my mind up
The painting goes well, just another coat of gloss to be done tomorrow. I went to mask the window frame and managed to stand on the freshly painted sill. Never before in the field of human endeavour has the phrase 'Oh !!!!!!!' been used so many times by one person0 -

What music are you listening to?Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

. Have you tried salmorejo Ed, I prefer it to gazpacho :T. Glad I'm not on iPad as I suspect I'd be asking if you'd tried salmonella :rotfl:.

I can so relate to this, I've noticed it before that when I had decided to leave a job it was a liberating experience, excitement mixed with a bit of fear of the unknown.
In my current job I decided in December last year I couldn't take any more, I have been trying to get out of the place for years but wanted the right job, in December last year I decided to apply to go back to uni, and the instant I got my acceptance letter from uni this huge weight lifted off of my shoulders, I knew then I had made the right choice, I've been trying not to get too excited about though as it isn't happening for a while yet, but the last time I was night shift I counted down how many shifts I have left to do.
If you've made up your mind and u have that sense of relief, then you just know you've done the right thing

I have not and I have to confess that I've never tasted or made gazpacho before (although I've ended up with a lovely fresh and flavourful soup that is exuding tasty vegetable scents) :TIf you've made up your mind and u have that sense of relief, then you just know you've done the right thing
Thanks El, I think you're right. Will need to be very frugal over the next couple of salaries, would like to have a boosted EF if it comes to quitting without a replacement.
Mrs E is now joking that she wouldn't mind me being unemployed for a while so that I could serve as a painter/decorator0 -

Never tasted salmorejo or gazpacho :eek::eek::eek::eek:. Tut tut. Though to be fair I've only made gazpacho once (amazeballs :T) and only had salmorejo in Spain when someone else has made it.

Hi Mr E,
Good luck with the job hunting. I hope you can resist the temptation to end one job on the Friday and start the following one on the Monday. Having a few days off between jobs, even if you just sit at home and chill, would give you a chance to clear out any lingering stresses the old job has left you with.0
