That would be appreciated AJM, thanks
Scotland is lovely, I am only sad that I need to be in the office. The wilds are calling, 8 weeks 'til the September break and a chance to escape to somewhere a bit more scenic. Think that I can get 11 days out of the office for 5 days leave, seems like a bargain!0 -
Another Whole fo@ds fan here, I think I know the one you go to as well, we try and pop along there a couple of times a year
Have to admit if money were no object I would deff spend my time growing veg and having chickens and bees ... and Mr El could chop his wood and cook0 -

We have the wonderful townie approach to meat. A local community gardening group raise two pigs for slaughter and people protested when they were eventually taken for the inevitable :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: brilliant, absolutely brilliant :rotfl::rotfl:I burst out laughing when I read this. Thanks !
It was on the top of my page. I had tears in my eyes. Still have the remnants as I type0 -
We used to mail order meat as well (I think from the same place
), and it always worked out a treat :T
I need to look into doing it again, actually! Just fell out of the habit due to various house moves and such nonsense.
PS. I was in fits re: the pigs as well... luckily it's quiet here at work:rotfl: :shhh:

Just looked at Donald Russell - you people must be *millionaires*! :eek:0

Ed - I have no idea what price meat should be - so I've no idea if the following is cheap/expensive, about right or whatever. But mention of mail order meats reminded me of something that I read about on the Old Style thread some time ago, about a company that actually set up supplying meat for body builders - the name they chose is dire..... However, I think some old stylers rate it for good meat. The link is HERE I'm not connected with the company, and most certainly am not endorsing them! (I'm veggie
) However, if you think that the prices are reasonable, go and ask over in Old Style for folks opinions, as to the company - that's where I heard about them.

A pity you don't have any local farms. Are you planning to live in the city long term or to move to a more rural area when your daughter is a little older?2018 totals:

Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Donald Russell as others have said often have great offers so don't be put off. Though what's wrong with an ashet pie
.
