  • [*]£100 to P2P

What option do you use for on the P2P lending? I use funding circle and find it really easy and you feel in control of what you are doing but am interested in opinions on the other platforms.

I use FC as well so would be interested to hear from others. I tend to go for the 6-12 months interest only property loans at 8% gross.

    Phew!

I have just read start to finish - it's taken me days. Not helped by sometimes something was abbreviated, I spent ages looking for it elsewhere, and then someone asked the question in the next post.

However I'm left with VCT - can someone enlighten me please?

Congratulations on the littley - it took all my self control not to read ahead (I have been known to read the end of books because I can't bear the suspense). And thank you for all the time that you have put in here answering everyone.

I am undergoing a bit of a thinking shift, which is always a good thing.

On the down side I have now bookmarked a heap of sites, got youtube videos lined up and a list of books to read!

Anyway, seemed rude not to say hi, wish you a good second day back, and thank you.

If you're going to read a diary from scratch there's not a better one!

    Ooooh, thanks GG.

Not something I need to know about right now at all by the looks of it. I'm struggling to learn things that are relevant to my situation - that looks like something I don't need to know yet at all.

PS , its nice to have found someone else except my kids who watch Hannibal, we love it but nobody we know has watched it.

Coming up to the end of the second season and while it's suffering from sophomore slump to a certain degree, I'm still enjoying it. May as well get our money out of N0w TV :)

R@tesetter. I like the provision fund, the FE rating and the relative ease of management. GG's example certainly puts the £ signs in my eyes, but 8% for such a short period seems quite high, which in turn makes me think about risks again.

P2P is currently a minute fraction of our portfolio, I like the good (but not spectacular) return with high confidence of borrowers not going bust. I believe the last notes went out at 6.1% before tax.

Welcome (and glad I could help with your evolving thinking) :j

Payday tomorrow, thank goodness! Baby costs and a generally spendy June mean that it's currently 22.51 years to FI based on the 3 month rolling average. Not good enough, looking forward to using the spending diary to identify problem areas (will be shaming myself publicly in a week)
