Went to a brewery with siblings and was mortified when a bearded hipster pointed out that he'd spent £100 on a bottle of beer.
Younger sibling gave the impression that I was a mean square for judging how the guy spent his money.
£100 - reasonable or not?
A while back I was berated on here for buying a £35 bottle of wine. However, £100 for a bottle of beer is mostly certainly unreasonable, though probably typical for a "hipster".2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

I thought spending £10 on a bottle of wine was bad enough....Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I think that was what frustrated me Goldie, he was a tour guide, not exactly a lucrative gig!0 -
Maybe he gets a staff discount so it was only rrp £100 not price paid0

Just finished eating dinner, HM corned beef with roast potatoes, kale and gherkins. Possibly one of the tastiest meat dishes I've had this year, well worth the effort of a week's brining and a 4 hour simmer0

I bought £100 bottle of whiskey for hubby. Shackleton - but he loves it. Has told the story millions and I mean millions of times about how it was made the cask, the history, the discovery and the expedition. He shared it with friends and the amount of happiness that bottle brought him far outweighed a night out on the razz or a family dinner out. He still had some left 2 years later.
But no not just a beer- what's wrong with Stella!!! LolMortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

I was trying to figure out how the heck you could buy an original bottle of whisky from the age of Antarctic exploration for £100, I see it's a reproduction. Sounds very interesting0
