They count each half of our large tenement windows as a window, so by that count we probably have 24 ;)

As a comparison, my parents live in a posh suburb and have perhaps half as many windows again. £10.

Ouch! :eek:If you exclude the loft level in our house then we have windows in 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a cloakroom, 2 big windows and half glazed door in the kitchen, 2 big windows in the playroom, the study, the lounge has a large front window and patio doors at the back, the dining room has 2 windows and a set of front doors, the hall window and the glass in and next to the front door = £16

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

At the risk of sounding too cool/like a Monopoly fan, I'm probably far too happy about discovering a spreadsheet bank error in my favour. I have been over egging the pudding as regards home contents insurance and have now updated the spreadsheet accordingly. Now £48 richer, with £29 to go into our Eemergency Fund and £2.xx a month saved from now on.

The FI nerd in me is also thinking 'that's £600 off my number' ;)
