    I have matte tiles so that I don't have to shine them :p ! With windows, I wash with whatever, bleachy water or washing up liquid or even shampoo/shower gel I dislike. I leave it until it's almost dry and then buff it.

    I was totally confused.com - but then it happens to me all the time :rotfl:

    Couldn't find you and you weren't on my 'saved subscriptions' so went back two weeks, found the threads and followed them - to finish up in the same place/strange place. Persevered and so now realise what has happened. So we are here for Now - oh well seems ok.

    Chi-me something weird happened with the thread this week - it looks like it somehow got merged with another thread when it shouldn't have, so Bossy has moved us onto a fresh thread for the end of the week for clarity, as peeps were failing to find us due to the thread name now not referring to Flying or Flylady.

    If I have it correct, we'll be using this thread for the rest of this week (til Sunday night) and then Dusty, whose turn it is to do next week (she alternates with Natty) will do us a new thread to start a new Flying week on Monday, and will do a link to it on Sunday evening.

    Thank you for clarifying that. I was a bit confused :D

    Rainbow did you also dilute the Stardrops sufficiently? It can be used neat but that is only really necessary for hard to remove marks.

    Think you may need to try some window cleaning products or find out the chemicals in the American Windex stuff and try to get the nearest British equivalent? I use my Karcher window cleaner as too much for my bad arm having to buff windows etc. That has the desired effect on my bathroom tiles they gleam!!

    Hoping for a lovely sunny day today so we can get out in the garden and garage. Also going to sort my car boot stash to see what there is and if it's really worth it!:D

    Hope everyone has a great weekend - catch up later. Hair appt to be decluttered this am - perhaps I'll have it really short then I'll lose more weight this week!:rotfl:

    Morning all, just catching up with the threads and have gone through emails and unsubscribed from lots of rubbish, just hope it works.

    This weekend the plans are walking the dogs, gardening, possibly a little shopping, maybe varnishing our new interior doors, and we are going out tonight. That is it, should be relaxing and no pressure.

    Hope you all have a great day/weekend.

    Now I'm at a loss...

    Arg@s said my steamer wouldn't be in at least until Sunday, however they emailed today to say it's in my local store.

    I'm going to get it!

    So, today was:

    Saturday

    * [STRIKE]make my bed[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Clean bathroom and loo[/STRIKE]
    * wipe down doors throughout
    * dust throughout
    * Vax (vacuum) throughout the house
    * [STRIKE]laundry in[/STRIKE], out and put away
    *[STRIKE] shine my sink[/STRIKE]

    Now, it's

    Saturday

    * steam EVERYTHING!!! :T:rotfl::T

    Yes me too! With a very young alan cumming in it?

    I think you're referring to "The High Life" which was the comedy featuring Alan Cumming, I loved it :D I can still sing the theme but I won't as it's early and the neighbours wouldn't appreciate it much :rotfl:

    Morning all :wave:

    DH's cricket season starts today so I am resigning myself to never seeing him on a Saturday and having to listen to him moaning about sore legs every Sunday until September *sigh* "One more good year in the sun" he says; funnily enough, he said that last year too.

    He is steaming this morning as DSD had her belly button pierced yesterday without his or her mum's consent, in fact when she asked she was firmly told NO by both of them. She's only 15 so either lied about her age as most reputable places require parental consent and attendance before 16 (and ask for ID if you look close to that age), or she's gone somewhere shady to have it done. She's walking around now in a pair of jeans two sizes too small with her (not insubstantial) belly hanging out and a top too short. If she were mine, I would…
      but she's not so :silenced: ANYWAY! The cheque has arrived from the insurance after the break in at our garage :j I didn't initially think we were insured as it's not joined to the flat but it's all worked out ok :) I wonder if now is the time to mention a new kitchen to DH?! :p I have lots of potter-y jobs to do today, plus a nip into town with my skids and another Ald! run as we got stuck in such bad traffic yesterday when collecting DD, I couldn't face a big shop at the end of it. I also need to nag DS2 into some writing, his English comprehension and spelling is good but his handwriting is atrocious. Lots of practise required, he goes into Y5 after the summer, time to get serious. I hope Saturday is good to you all xx
