how much sympathy do u want to give monkey
Seriously? Have you even read and "understood" my posts? I'm not giving sympathy I'm objecting to the god like beings who believe that it is acceptable to cast judgement and brand some random kid as irresponsible while having only minimal information!

If folk don't put judgmental rubbish like this on a thread then I wouldn't have said anything...

There should be 2 possibilities for what can happen:
There is the €50 data cap, unless someone is deemed to have opted out of it.
The opt-out option is a daily fee to have the same usage as at home, probably £3 a day if I remember from hearing friends talking about it last year.
By the way, I can remember a friend on Vodafone having his phone cut off while roaming a few years back, and he had to borrow mine to call them to get it re-enabled. It turned out they'd imposed a £200 credit limit.
Whatever gets sorted out with Vodafone, next visit to Spain consider getting a local SIM for data use.0 -

Actually, you proved robbies_gal's words are correct... the son was called "irresponsible", not the mother. That's what he said.0 -

LOL, no... Robbies_Gal said the mother was responsible?noone said that they said the mother was irresponsible giving a child a contract phone
just missing a bit of grammar... It should (I think) say "no one said that, they said the mother was irresponsible giving a child a contract phone"
I'd have less of a problem with someone saying the mother was irresponsible (though still a bit rude) as she is likely to be the bill payer responsible

there's a button on the iPhone to turn the 3G off completely I would reccomend using this in future instead of the roaming which can be a little bit iffy
If he was using it in a wifi zone it would of connected to the wifi first so your son is telling fibs I'm afraid0 -
Your 'recommendation' is incorrect and misleading. Data can be transmitted via 2g, although slowly.there's a button on the iPhone to turn the 3G off completely I would reccomend using this in future instead of the roaming which can be a little bit iffy
I guess there is a button on iPhones to turn Mobile Data off.0
