I have Netflix and the whole family love it. We use it with a a region unblocker so can access the different regions so have a huge range of choice as the USA Netflix has so much more and Canada has alot newere movies. WE pay £3 a month via paypal for unblockus as it is easy to use, but I understand there are free ones out there, but not tried them. I had Lovefilm and it did not have as much content and we cancelled Sky as we hardly watched it after having Netflix.

How do you unblock the regions?

I have Netflix, and the films though Amazon prime, which I think used to be I Love Film.
The Amazon offering has more in terms of TV series, but they are similar.
Amazon does not have apps for most android devices.
Netflix appears to stream, better on slower connections.
The Netflix user interface is easier to use, and you can set up different users.
Netflix you can only use on two devices at any one time not sure about Amazon.

If I could get an app for Amazon from my android tablet, I would have cancelled Netflix, as I use Amazon Prime a lot.

I don't use either of these now. I use show box and stream it via a chromecast.
The only outlay was the chromecast , £30. :D

Another vote for Netflix. Lots of decent TV shows and film selection, plus you can access the US website using some trickery and expands your collections even more.

Fast, excellent quality images and can access via my phone (Windows), my tablet (Android), my PC and my Roku box, whereas Lovefilm has fewer access points.

  • I prefer netflix for ease of use but the content is pretty limited the movies are fairly second rate B movie types and straight to video variety and the TV series don't include popular current faves like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead etc they need to update and widen the content for it to be 100% perfect

WD season 3 is on netflix (maybe you need to get the usa edition?)
    GoT, apparently they tried... http://whats-on-netflix.com/other/game-of-thrones-netflix/
  • I have had both in the past, but currently only have netflix. I wouldn't have love film again we had far too many discs that cut out like 15 minutes before the end of a film....very annoying!! We had to carefully clean each disc before we watched them as the state they came to us in was awful. Netflix cuts out the fuss! Obviously not as big a choice but much better for us.

However, I would add we have a 20 mb internet connection so that may be why netflix works so well for us. If you have awful internet, I can imagine buffering would be a problem.
