If you had read the posts, Derek seems to be a little gem. Martin is doing a great job and the bond is already there.
You must have had a Demonic cat if that is what you had to put up with ! :rotfl:
Still putting up with it, its about 13 years old now, just waiting for the day to come! All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

As for letting him out again... well, he sometimes comes when I call, but sometimes he ignores me, so I'm just not sure... :-/
My reply was a little tongue in cheek Martin, however, every word true, but as I did say if your cat fights with another, do not intervene and try to separate, seriouslyAll the big powers they've silenced me. Hi Martin
Glad His Lordship condescended to come home.
I have had cats that have wandered off for hours but they have all reappeared when they wanted the Kitty Cafe opening.
He obviously knows now where "home" is, just be prepared for the 3am "Dad I'm home" calling that is guaranteed to wake you from a lovely deep sleep.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
Hehe can't wait
We got him a little collar today, a snap-apart one. He doesn't seem bothered by it as yet, but I'm binning it if he doesn't like it.
We (well I say we, I mean OH) got him a bloody great 3 tier scratching type apparatus complete with hammock!

She only gets on it, when I have food in my hand, she likes doing a little routine to try and get more food off me.
This cat is going to end up at fat fighters club ! Mind you vet said she was only a little overweight, but she eats for Britain.
Snap on collar is fine, she wears one and no issues. She did have a previous snap on one, which disappeared. I found it days later stuck in a tree, so she must have got caught up on it, but it did snap off ok. I like her in a collar with a bell, as I can tell when I am asleep, that she is going to jump on me prior to the act. I can sleep soundly, but I zone into her actions. Was the same with Rusty, I woke up if he moved, or when he shoved the side of the bed to go out for his ablutions at 4 am. She has a new trick now, I act if still asleep when she dives on me, so she has learnt that putting her head under the pillow and pushing the pillow up will wake me up. 3 times last night !!:rotfl:0 -
