I'm about to try the Onion Confit recipe for the first time in my Tefal Jam Maker, having only made jams previously.
Has anyone who has a jam maker who has made both jams and chutney/confit noticed any tainting issues with the stirrer having made confit or chutneys and then making jams again????
Does the P6 cleaning program clean the stirrer adequately to get rid of the smell of onions?0 -
Hi
Sorry if in wrong place, but trouble drying laundry is an age old problem.
Anyone got one of these?
Been looking at it for a few years, I do have a tumble dryer but its a washer dtyer and seems to take ages and makes stuff hard to iron.
I have not used my Remoska for over 12 mths and have emailed lakeland to see if I can do a swap.
This time last year I was working full time, but now I am a full time carer and money is tight.
Thanks in advance0 -
I don't have this product.
And hope you think I am not being funny. But if you are home all day as a carer. Does it not make it easier to do the washing on a good day.
I use to do that all that time when not working and when working part time. And then stick it outside even if was for a couple of hours.
A de-humidfier might be a better option then this product. As it sucks all the moisture out of the air. Making the whole house feel warmer.

I care for my mother in law in her own home.
So I need to peg washing out before school run, I then go to hers and spend all day there, returning after tea.
So hard to run in and out bringing washing in and out. Also as i am out all day no heating on in my home.
I live up north and winter has come, not many dry days now. Did try to do it at the weekend when it was fine, but then ended up with loads of ironing all at once, was still up at midnight doing school stuff.0 -
im undecided about one of these too.
do i go dehumidifyer which is more expensive to buy and run but would solve my condensation problem too or one of these to dry clothes quicker so less damo in the air so less condensation and its cheap to run0 -

sorry - i don't have this item either but while you're still deciding have you tried a fan?
I put washing over an airer each evening and put an electric fan (in oscillating mode) in front of it on a timer for half an hour. Then I leave it overnight and next morning before i go to work i turn all the washing over and put on for another half hour - this is left while I am at work during day.
By the time I come home It's ready for ironing and I then put them on radiator airers (even if the heating isn't on). By the time I do the next lot the next night these are ready to be put away.

Not sure if this is the thing I have - mine is an electric airer from lakeland which you can use half or all of, it runs on almost no power and is WONDERFUL. I put damp clothes on it and then cover it with a sheet or something big so it's like a little hothouse. things dry very quickly (ironing dry) and we have saved a lot of money. The only thing wrong with it is that it seems VERY frail and we now leave it up all the time in the spare room as I think putting it up and taking it down a lot might break it.0

That sounds brilliant. Is it the Lakeland Dry Soon Heated Airer?
