I've really taken to the Lakeland zipped storage bags for soup/liquids, and other items. I make a lot of stock for soups, etc. for the freezer and find that once the plastic containers I used to store them were empty I had run out of cupboard storage space for them until their next usage. With these zipper bags I can cram much more into my freezer and when the stock has been used they can simply be washed and stored flat in a drawer until they need to be reused.0

slightly off topic I know, but I work in a testing laboratory - which orders its foil and boil-in-a-bag bags from Lakeland instead of those available from laboratory suppliers because they are far superior!0

Good morning! I finally collected my much coveted jam maker from Lakeland yesterday, as the lovely lady phoned to say they were back in stock and there was one with my name on it! Anyway the booklet is truly awful for instructions and recipes, as others have said, so does anyone who already has one have any tip or recipes please?GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

I have a teabag squeezer... it has a double function actually... I use it as a spoon as well. I put my catalogue in the paper recycling without looking at it this time. In fact, I should cancel the catalogues, you can always find the info online.
I have a teabag squeezer.... it's called a 'spoon'! seriously....who wants to have the pot thing to put them on either. Am I funny because I don't want a pair of tongs, plus teapot shaped dish to rest them on and a cutesy 'bin' full of mouldy teabags going fusty with flies hovering over them on the counter top. Not to mention the fact that they clutter the kitchen surface?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi all
My mum hung her nose over the jam maker in Lakeland -at the time she was getting a remoska.. but she happened to mention to me that she had seen this "rather lovely looking jam maker" (not one to treat herself really)....
A couple of weeks later I went to a supermarket out here and spotted what I thought was the same thing... dashed home to check lakelands web site and IT WAS the exact same one... on sale @ €50 /£40 -nearly half price :j so guess what my mum has for xmas :rotfl: she does normally use a big jam pan -but she doesn't need those huge quantities so give loads away -which, why nice isn't saving her money
I love Lakeland and whenever I come home to the UK I have to go into Nottingham -just so I can attack lakeland-I went in 4 times one day -well you know how it goes... "hmm I will think about that" -then 10 mins down the road you decide you have thought enough so dash back to get it :rotfl:
On the WOOHOO love Lakeland front -i have to say they have amazed me with their latest customer service...
I ordered a standard remosk and 1/2 pan, the 1st one never arrivedthey sent a second, 3 weeks later no sign -so the nice man said he would despatch a 3rd with tracking... the 2nd arrived the other day.. then had a call from lakeland to say that the other was on its way and to just let them know when it arrived... I said the 2nd had just arrived so did they want me to refuse to sign for it -so it would be returned to them?... He only said "NO, keep it as a thankyou for your patience and understanding" :T .. So they have given me over £106 worth of remoska/1/2 pan plus foil and free utensils
....I think that is amazing -even by Lakelands standards :j

I have just bought the jam maker - well my hubby is giving it me for my birthday next month but the quinces wouldn't wait until then! I have to admit I did not think too long or too hard - 40+ excellent reviews told me it must be ok. I am not a jam maker but both mum and MIL do there own marmalade etc and I thought I should start to follow in their footsteps!
So, as a jam making "virgin", I think anybody would love the jam maker. Once you have sorted the diabolical instructions (honestly the worse I have ever come across) which I photocopied so that I only have the english bits to hand, then it was fab, all beautifully timed, no guesswork and the self cleaning function is worth its weight in gold. I have just produced 12 small jars of beautiful jewel like quince jelly and have pounds more fruit to go. Have yet to try jam and other products but I'm really hopeful.
I got free postage, two e cloths worth 10 quid and am not registerd with quidco so I got nectar points instead. Bought a double bed with my nectar points not that long ago so it all helps!MFiT-T3 Number 61 Reduce mortgage by £50000Mar 13 £5660/11.32% June 13 £12513/25.03% Sept 13 £16951/33.90% Sept 14 £38391/78.78% paid offMFiT-T2 Number 34 Reduce mortgage by £66471Dec 12 100% paid off!0 -
