A few years ago they did a tefal sauce maker, I can remember really wanting one of those, I managed to resist :A but when i'm stirring sauces I do think of it wistfully

I have a saucier, which my mother brought me back from France years ago - like the one in bumble-bee's link. I'm guessing the jam maker is similar but bigger. I wouldn't be without my saucier - for sauces, especially for big dinners when the hob is full, brilliant for scrambled eggs, wonderful for real custards and lemon curds. Use it far more often than I thought it would, so this jam maker looks very adaptable to other things - not just jam - I really want one now!0

I have a gadget from Lakeland, which is a little stand that you put under the washing up bowl to lift it's height. Our sink is slowly collapsing and I am a little taller than average so it really makes a difference to me - I don't get back ache. But it's been starting to collapse with unnerving frequency with a tidal wave of washing up water all over me/floor/cat...
I've never found a box sturdy enough to do the trick or anything else that is the right size to pop under the washing up bowl apart from this. I could really do with a new one. But that will mean going onto the Lakeland site. And I know what will happen then, I'll think to myself, 'if I spend £60 I get free delivery, a free gift and £2.40 from Quidco.' Sigh.
I'm going to try and hold out til August.Always another chapter0 -
I LOVE Lakeland...
BUT...I was spending far too much money...I took mine out of the envelope.. and put it straight in the recycle bin.. I have the willpower of a demon!
...so I went one step further and took myslef off their mailing list.:eek::eek:
No more temptation, no more money spent."Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

But do you ever find yourself sneaking a looksee at their website?
I have to say - catalogues are contentment stealers. They make you want things that you didn't know existed before you opened them. The gizmo for the washing up bowl, however, was a real help.Always another chapter0 -

I used to use a drainer from Ikea in the sink to raise my bowl. Much cheaper, but then again, how many people go to Ikea and come out with only the one item they went for? Just as tempting as Lakeland.
Which reminds me I'm going to Scarborough on Thursday and have to pass York which has a Lakeland store.......Hmmmm.:rotfl:0 -
I'm not too bad in IKEA - it's OH that has trouble there. We'll be going round and he will be his usual non-buying self and then suddenly he'll flip into Sir Spendalot and want EVERYTHING - usually when we hit the kitchen area.
Lakeland, I wouldn't dare go into a shop. My uncle lives near one, and I never call in. If the catalogue is tempting, how am I going to manage in a store.
Do they do whoopsies?Always another chapter0
