Make sure you buy the good baking/roasting tins, they are more expensive but they last for years and they do not warp like the cheaper ones.

Knew there was another thread out there.....

I know you were after tins but my mum got as a sample the wash it laundry balls and has used them to good effect and she also recommends the dolly ball which go in and beat your washing senseless getting the stains out. The combination of the 2 is great and they last an age and are cheaper than some washing powders.

I like most of their products BUT the eco washballs are absolute rubbish. THey don't clean at all. The Astonish toilet cleaners are also useless - 2 high power Steradent denture cleaner down the pan over night much more effective. (Cheap own brand denture cleaners are not as good)

I do like their laveneder delicates wash - hand or machine - very gentle on my delicate skin and leaves a lovely fragerence. Also lock and lock storage. And the HG bath cleaner (can't spot it on the website, though) Looks expensive, but a little goes a long way and is very very good.

Ditto ordering on-line for freebies if you are making a big shop.

If you think something's rubbish, email them. They will always take it back.

I love the wool wash too. It lasts for ages.

Never buy Astonish products there though, as you can always find them in £ shops
  • I've only bought one thing from lakeland so far, the egg timer thing that changes colour when the eggs are cooked and its FAB!

Have always felt embarassed about the fact that despite being able to cook a 3 course meal i am hopeless at making chucky eggs for DD, they're either not cooked or hard boiled, never the right consistency for dipping soldiers. So this is a godsend for me, we all had chucky eggs for breakfast last week and they were perfect :)

My mum has had no problems with them, thats odd. I will give it a try and see how it goes with my clothes!

I like their cling film. The rolls last for ages and it doesn't rip like some makes.

    Hiya
I'd recommend the square cake tin that is adjustable so you can make several sizes of cakes and several cakes at a time - fab. Also love laundary stand with three arms for you to hang stuff up on hangers. It was recommened on this forum and I love it. Check out the back right hand corner as they have a bargain section which can be good. Stuff there is either in a damaged box or end of line and you can grab a bargain. They've just put their christmas stuff out too. Oh, and you just have to go to the cafe....delicious! No I don't work there I just live nearby! Have fun xx

I thought that about their cling film, however I ran out and put some Aldi cheapo stuff in the dispenser. I realised it was the dispenser that was so good, ie it cut the stuff very well and meant it didn't tangle. Much cheaper!
I do love Lakeland but I do think that they are very, very good at making you think you need stuff...
The line from their catalogue that used to make me laugh was "You'll wonder how you ever did without it" - I am sure that was written about a little shelf/pocket thingie you stuck on the side of the bath to put your plug in to make it look neater!!!!!

I do go into our local shop sometimes and have found several things in the bargain corner but generally I try and use online service as really good and well packaged and a free gift. I usually go through putting things in my basket and at the end look at how much money it is and then remove most of them!! It's sooo easy to spend ££££'s online too!!

I wish I had had the silly plug holder as our bath plug has gone missing (?how???) and I pulled the sink one off to use and it didn't fit!! Hubby was not pleased and had to try and get it connected again!:rotfl:
