    I agree with you, I'd have gone back in for 10p:rotfl:
    Takeaway_Addict seemed to have a problem and asked if it was worth 10 minutes of your life for 50p . . .
    was just pointing out, it probably only took a couple of mins . . . that'd work out at £15 an hour :j yeah, well worth it :T

    I bought a wallet at a market in Morecambe a few years ago, priced £4.99. I gave the stall attendant a five pound note and she just put it in her pocket and walked off. I had to call her back to get my 1p change. She didn't look happy about it.

    It's not necessarily the money, it's the principle.

    Exactly. The only way to "syphon off" money would be to short change them. If incorrect discount was applied the till wouldn't know this because it was manually worked out so therefore if 50p was then taken each time after incorrect discount was applied the till would be down because as far as the till was concerned it had the correct transaction amount.
