It took 2 or 3 minutes at most, though I wasn't counting.I believe in pointing out mistakes,no matter how small because if we let the retailers get away with making mistakes in their favour,we the long suffering public, will be the worse off for it whilst their profits get ever larger.0 -

The maximum discount is 100 litres, so it's not hard..
I could have understood if it had been an odd figure ,like 37 litres or so,but a round 30?
Obviously I am old school who believes teenagers should leave education with a decent level of reading, writing and arithmetic!!0 -

Maybe they do have a decent level of reading, writing and arithmetic, and just made a mistake.0 -
Thanks for the heads up. Probably not going to be filling up using a voucher from Morrisons any time soon but good to know in future that it isn't automatic.
Before I wouldn't have normally complained over an error, but if every time you handed over a coupon and it wasn't scanned - it adds up over the year! And normally the cashier / manager are quite happy to rectify the mistake. (Other customers are normally tetchy though)The 'Save 12k in 2014' Challenge: £639/ £8,000 (#208)

Yes it could have just been a mistake and I wasn't rude or nasty when I pointed it out. They are usually very good at refunding any overcharges,it does seem to happen more often in their store than Tescos though!!0

I think you are missing the whole point of this forum!!

retailers love people like you
are you on the right site
Morrions short changed me some points the other week (about 30p worth) I called their customer service line for free took about 2 minutes and ended up with a £2 voucher so about £60 an hour. was that worth it?Don't trust a forum for advice. I wonder how much time you have spent on giving comments to this post and not getting a penny for that, seeing your time is respectfully valuable.
I think the PO's point is, the principle is wrong. If Morrisons advertises 6p off per litre, then it should be £1.80 off/cheaper/less whatever you call it on 30 litres of fuel.
And based on what has happened to the PO, Morrisons has only offered 4.33333333333333p off per litre. If that's the case, Morrisons better just says 4.33333333333333p off instead of 6p.
And if you looked at the first thing I said I agree on principle with the OP. I just wouldn't have gone back myself.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

Takeaway_Addict seemed to have a problem and asked if it was worth 10 minutes of your life for 50p . . .
was just pointing out, it probably only took a couple of mins . . . that'd work out at £15 an hour :j yeah, well worth it :T0 -

How would that work if the customer paid what the till receipt said? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0
