Just wondered has anyone put a fence up on the side that is actually the neighbours side?

We have a knee height fence at the moment which gives us full view of the neighbours - so we have no privacy. So we keep considering putting up a full height normal sized fence but fixed on our side if you know what I mean?

    is it legal?

Perfectly legal, unless there are restrictions set in your deeds (sometimes called covenants) or council rules/ highway code (ie not having high fences near a junction). There is a maximum height you can go to without needing planning permission, I think it is 6 ft but may be 8 ft.

Could you put up a separate one that would be on your land? Don't see why you shouldn't be able to put up a 6 ft one on your land and a little way in from your neighbour's, would waste a bit of land but you might be able to put it up nearly abutting the other one depending on who's land is who's.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

    Morning evryone,

Thanks for this westie, was exactly what I needed to see this morning.

Not been here since Monday lunchtime when Mum was still very bad and waiting for the 3rd call out doctor in 5 days, and second in 2 days. Thankfully he was very thorough and said it would defo be best for Mum to go into hospital for tests, although she did protest and needed persuasion. I didn't get to visit yesterday as was cleaning and waiting for furniture to be delivered, but I feel so worried and guilty for her going in, as no-one who went in yesterday seemed aware of a fluid input, output chart, which I think she defo needs to be on. Will be asking when I go in after lunch today.

It's not normal for Mum to be talking so much rubbish and not be aware of time and how long ago things happened, but this is how it suddenly become since last wednesday.

I won't be able to catch up, only read this mornings posts. Hope you have a good Birthday it's a secret.

OK, here'a where I need some Elite help. Does anyone know anything from A's glitching or good prices against W's please. List would be really appreciated as now off to launderette to dry a heap of washing, then going to A's to pick up some small bottles of highland spring water for Mum which are cheaper in W just now. But will come home and check here in between, so some help would be so useful.

I don't think going to see Mum in there is going to be easy, she's had enough of hospitals over the last few years, I do hope they have done a few tests by now to give us some answers. :(

Elsie I am glad they have taken your mum in for tests, let's hope they get to the bottom of her unusual behaviour and find out what's causing it. At least your dad will be getting a bit of rest for a while.

    Thinking of you all xx
