Morning all. Nice and sunny here today.

I'm off to be a "test passenger" at Heathrow T2 today ahead of it reopening after refurbishment. Should be fun :)

    Happy birthday it's a secret 66 :bdaycake:

Hopefully your CPN works, as mine didn't. Free coffee while you read the free online paper :D

I've sent them an email - it will probably be ignored but it was worth a try :)

Let us know how you get on. I sent the link to eldest child as Heathrow is do-able for her now but she has been banished to Norwich today so the dates were wrong :D

Will they feed you - maybe just the normal tea and sandwiches???

Joining instructions say refreshments will be available, but don't specify what. They did want to know if you require gluten free, vegan etc so maybe a bit more substantial than sandwiches. Apparently you get a special T2 thank you gift at the end as well!

Todays topic for conversation - bark chippings.

We looked at B and Q and you can get four 100 litre bags of bark chippings for £20 - I cant seem to order online though and I am dreading what the delivery charges are.

I had a look at various builders merchants but they deliver in big sacks and I cant see if they are better value or not.

We started making flower beds in the bottom paddock last summer but not really knowing what we are doing so the grass is threatening to take over again. So we are in the process of re weeding it, putting down the weed suppressing membrane and topping it off with bark chippings.
On top of which for about 9 months of the year the ground is very wet and then it bakes hard in the summer.

If I could find someone local I could trust I would let them sort it out despite the cost.

Has anyone got any views on bark chippings ???:D

Have you checked A? We bought some last year and they worked out the cheapest per litre (closely followed by Poundstretcher).
